Intro Post
My name: Carlen
His/Her name: Stephen/Steve
I live: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
My age: 21 (in 2 weeks, close enough)
He/She lives: Brantford, Ontario
His/Her age: 26
Distance: 6.5 hour drive
Together since: official May 11th, 2008, but casually dating for a few months and friends before that
We met: We met in college because we were both taking the same program (Professional Writing). We sat beside each other during the first year but we never really talked to each other. In September our program had a big formal and that was one of the first times I remember us talking. He showed up all dressed up and I was shocked at how good he looked. Then we started hanging out more, going for coffee dates, and things slowwwly progressed from there. :P In February I went on a week long roadtrip with him and his brother and their friend (4 of us) and that's probably when I knew, if I could survive a week in a car with him I could handle anything. :P We've been even closer ever since the trip.
We get to see each other (approximately how often): We've been living in the same city since September, but he's moving home for at least the summer. I'm not sure how often we will get to see each other. =/
Future plans: I'm going home with him this weekend to meet his family, then we're going to be LD until he's more financially stable.

I haven't been in a real long distance relationship in years, and I'm kind of nervous it's not going to work out. =/ At the same time, we're both pretty independent people so I feel like I get the best of both worlds. :D
