Interlude:

Random notes from the life and times of kinoface:

→ Just for the record, I have been completely absent from Tumblr for weeks now. Every now and then I'll pop in to stare at the Jun tag (aka The Gun Show, EXCUSE ME SIR DO YOU HAVE A PERMIT FOR THOSE ARMS), but I literally cannot remember the last time I looked at my dash. So if there's anything you think I should be privy to, or if you post something in my direction but I don't respond, it's 99% likely that I just haven't seen it, so let me know via ask or text or PM or email or whatevs. ♥~!

→ I made a playlist out of all my Arafes choices and have been listening to it a lot: best choice.

→ SAILOR MOON 2013, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?

→ The house continues to remain unfucked. I am overjoyed.

→ IT'S FUCKING HOT. I am underjoyed.

→ Ridiculous: I keep bruising myself in the exact same place. Over and over and over. We have a bath/shower combo with a sliding glass door, so there's this metal railing for the door all along the edge of the tub, and I keep fucking bonking my knee on it whenever I step out of the tub. So I just have this fat bruise under my knee that never goes away. SELF. COME ON.

→ Oh hey, here's an actual thing: dear people who enjoy receiving snail mail! I recently received ten postcards from the distinguished (aha) college where I work. So if anyone would like a postcard, let me know! Also let me know if you have a preference between flowers, swimming pools, astronomy & Earth science, and signs with boats on them. I am willing to send these anywhere, so don't be shy. :D

→ Isn't it ironic, dontcha think: I really want to organize the living room closet, but I'm not allowing myself to get started on it until I make some more progress on fqfest. When did my priorities get so turned around???

→ We've been spending a lot of time at INB's parents' house (hmm perhaps I should get used to saying "the in-laws" -- or: los suegros), and it's made me realize how much I need to brush up on my Spanish. (INB's mom [la suegra!] will say something about me in Spanish and INB will be like "AY, MA, SHE'S RIGHT HERE, JUST TELL HER.") I'm pretty good with structure and syntax and conjugation, but my vocabulary is shit. So I've been contemplating taking the songs I translate from Japanese into English (which I haven't mentioned on here before but I do it for practice and it's pretty fun) and then translating those into Spanish. sdlfjhkdjf it's sort of daunting because I'm sure it'll be a challenge, but I bet it'll be really fun too. At some point I'd like to go straight from Japanese to Spanish but I think I need to get better at both before I can try that without my brain short-circuiting. In summary: ~*~*~LANGUAGE~*~*~

→ We're two episodes in to Nikita. So far I don't really give a shit about the plot so I'm sort of bored by it, but I am in love with Nikita, Alex, and Amanda. I hope the writing gets better, but if not I'm willing to stick around just for the ladies.

→ And, finally, here are some pictures from around the house~

OUR COFFEE STATION: perhaps my favorite part of the kitchen?? It's just so cute uuuggghhhhh. There's the coffeemaker, obvsly, then loose leaf tea in the big tin, coffee in the tin with hearts, packets of tea and Emergen-C and stuff in the little bucket, and Timmy Timmerson to watch over the whole thing. Also featured: my mom's beloved jade sugar dispenser; bowl of fruit provided by INB's mom; saucer and stirring spoon. I love the jade sugar dispenser but that it doesn't match drives me crazy (I want everything to match OR for everything to be a clusterfucked rainbow of color, I can't deal with this slightly mismatched stuff!!!) but it has been remarkably difficult to find something similar in red. I'm still hunting, though! On the bottom shelf: cookbooks, dishes we use for random shit. I love it hard.

Our fridge used to be covered in katakana post-its (mostly in order although for a while we had a row on the bottom that said ワタシハ オヂン), but I no longer need them and I'm pretty sure INB doesn't even look at them anymore, so instead: MAGNETS. Magnets, and a picture of Brownie, and my very favorite picture of the nieceling, and to-do and to-buy lists (I write the to-buy lists mostly in katakana: the post-its have paid off), and a "MAKE LARS'S LIFE DIFFICULT POLICE" badge because we are secretly children, and other assorted stuff, including: the pen I stuck to a little magnetic strip via double-sided tape. I feel particularly proud of that one. Don't judge.

And this is my #1 favorite thing of all the shit I brought from my old room at my dad's: MY SAILOR MOON BOX. These are all my dolls, (almost) all my gashapon, my stickers, my cards, my DVDs, my books... The only things not in there are my PGSM gashapon and my coffee mug.

PGSM gashapon! They sit on my little shelf of the mueble by the front door. They watch over my badass wallet obvsly. Also pictured: the Disguise Pen keychain elfie got me and my beloved Pokeball. (You can't see the charm Mars got me, but it's there. ♥)

PGSM Usagi lives on top of the mueble with Batman, echoing our wedding cake.

And here is the mug which INB bought for me years ago and which sits happily next to the Batman mug he's had since before I knew him. :'D

And here's a picture where you can see right down my shirt but I don't even care you guys because LOOK AT THIS SWEET FACE.

UGGGHHHHHH. I love when they do this: he was just sitting on my lap while I was playing Magic, and then he moved around and sighed and put his head on my chest so he could stare up at me lovingly. PRECIOUS BB. ;~~~;

To finish us off, here is a cherished book from sixteen-year-old kinoface's diverse and telling collection:

Visiting the Tower of London was a ... special experience.

Okay okay I guess I should go accomplish some of the things on today's to-do list, GOSH. Seriously though: let me know if you want a postcard!!
