Alright, so here are some of the things I've been thinking about instead of doing my readings for Torts.
- Why is it that I was never exposed to the genius of Cat Stevens up-until this point? From an early age I was listening to Peter, Paul, and Mary, James Taylor, and Fleetwood Mac. Where's the Cat Stevens? This guy was one hell of a folk-singer. I mean, jesus!
- The same goes to my parents inability to expose me to Stevie Wonder. Man that blind guy sure knows a thing or two about good-looking women. He can also write one hell of a love song.
- Just in case anyone will mistake the last two paragraphs for me going soft, I still have an extensive collection of indie and underground rock. With the notable exceptions of Danny Devlin and my brother, I am still the indie rock king of all those who are reading this post.
- I just moved into a new apartment in the same building as the one I was in before. I have a roommate now, and a heck of a lot more spending money. It's very nice. Kev (the new roommate) is one heck of a nice guy, and it's good to be living with another law student. Plus, he and Laura get along (which is always a huge plus). Anyway, the reason I mention this is because the apartment is on the 14th floor and we have a balcony. I don't think I could have a better view if I was living on dome of the Capitol Building. It's so dead sexy it doesn't just hurt me, it hurts you too. And your cat.
- This semester I am going to find a way to get out to visit everyone in Chicago. I have no idea how the heck I'm going to do it, but it's going to happen. I was thinking about hitchin' but I don't want to pay in either gas, grass, or ass. So, I need to find a cheap plane ticket to Chicago from the DC Metro-area for the first of last week in March. Does anyone have any ideas on where I should be looking? I have no idea who's the cheapest carrier to look at, or which service I should think about using. I'm kind of flexible in when I travel and I always travel light. Plus, I don't weigh much so if I have to have myself shipped across state lines it won't be that expensive.
Wishing you luck and love,
Mike
