things are what they are and have been.
yesterday morning, john and i met jason, colleen, shawn and carl for a fabulous (albeit early) morning breakfast at beaterville in celebration of jason's birthday! there are not many people i will get up at 5am for, but jason is one of them. also, birthdays deserve to be special. john and i got jason what we termed the "plus dinosaurs?" gift set, oh, no! es hipo!, dinosaurs by design and some dinosaur tattoos. yes, he is an adult.
a not cool thing that happened yesterday, on my way to babysitting in the evening, i managed to have my bus passes for both march and april (they were in the same plastic cover together) fall out of my coat pocket on the bus. i realized it just as i stepped off the bus and put my hand in my coat pocket, feeling immediately that it wasn't there. i ran after the bus, no luck. i called trimet, i got a severe run around and lied to by one of the two guys i talked to in lost and found - not sure which one. that's a story for in person.. so long story short, it hasn't been turned into lost and found as of this morning. it probably won't be. ugh. thankfully this happened at a time when i can kind of afford it...
this past week, i only worked one day for the family that i nanny for, because they went on vacation for spring break. this was cool, i thought i'd get some time off (not that i am particularly needing it), but other families that i only occasionally babysit for managed to fill up my time. this made me feel something something to the tune of job security.

one thing i don't like about going to bar's, especially sandy hut, is reeking of smoke afterward. but it was fun!
oh, a few of us are meeting up at avalon's wunderland arcade tonight around 6:30pm. feel free to show up so i can pwn you in air hockey or ddr or pod racing or something.
