Case of the Mondays...
Let's see. This weekend, I started off by contemplating whether or not I should ask this one girl out on a date. I, of course, did not. Later that friday night Billiam and I got some burritos, checked out some live music, and then went to play cards over Ryan's. After that, I pretty much did nothing. I was going to lay down a new track but I sat there, stared at all the equipment I'd have to lug out and set up, then fixed my glassy gaze upon the uncomfortable chair that I'd be stuck in for the next 5-6 hours in front of the computer, and I copped out. Sometimes I'm so lazy it's embarrassing. Oh yea, I should also mention how devastated I was when my Michigan State Spartans suffered their first loss of the season to U of M. I think I almost cried, seriously. But, they didn't deserve to win. The "high-powered" offense didn't score a single touchdown in the second half. I blame it on shotty play-calling. It's gonna take me a year to get over this one.
So, today is Monday. Still trying to find work that will fit my schedule. I think I might actually go out with that one girl I mentioned cuz I told her about how I have these gift certificates to the Palladium and that I haven't eaten at one of my favorite Thai restaurants in forever and that if she joined me I thought we'd have a good time. She told me to call her. I'm thinking that's a good sign but then again, I've been known to make horribly wrong judgement calls when it comes to this sort of thing. Whatever. I don't even know why I bother. I think we all know how this is going to end. Wait a couple months and I'm sure I'll have a sad love song about this. I'm hanging on by the thinnest of threads right now.
And just to let you know, only by the grace of God did I find relief from my financial woes. Sometimes I think we forget that people do care and I've also realized that asking for help is easier when you admit to yourself that you can't do everything on your own. Pride is an ugly beast but not indestructable.
