Fanime 2011
Fanime 2011 was pretty fantastic overall! I would type way too much, so I'm going to yoink Danny's idea and just list pros and cons:
List of Awesome
* Clean, responsible, and sweet hotel roomies!
* Got my badge in less than 10 minutes
* Seeing friends I hadn't seen in forever and running into many familiar faces
* Maid Cafe- had fun entertaining and talking to people, tag teamed tables with Kio, was super welcomed by new and veteran maids, and tried two of the cafe's delicious desserts
* Fun and successful Gyaru, High School of the Dead, Madoka Magica, and Vocaloid (Flower) gatherings and photoshoots
* Ran around with a huge machine gun for HOTD (airsoft gun, so it was pretty heavy!)
* Shot with photographers that are also friends
* Managed to eat 2 meals a day!
* The first year of Fanime not having to wake up at 5:50am each morning to pay for parking!
* Ate more delicious cake Monday
* Lots of fond memories with friends
List of LAWLsome
* Ran super late Friday because I forgot my phone at bf's house
* Had to drive back home Friday night- work on cosplay and finish packing, wake up at 6am Saturday to finish work on cosplay, then head back to fanime around 8am
* Missed Kim and Yan's party ;_____;
* Messed up on my Fanimaid Live performance
* The staffer at Fairmont Hotel who was super unprofessional and tried to kick us out
* Madoka Magica photoshoot had to move three times, so it was pretty stressful/annoying
* Missed the Lolita Panel, Butler Panel and Lolita Picnic! ;____;
* No time for PikaPika
Overall it was a great Fanime. I just wish it lasted longer so that I could do more things and see more people! But I'm super happy for the fond memories and am eager to see the finished photos from each photoshoot! After the photos are out I'll probably want to post a list of favorites for me own memories =3.
