This month we moved Open Mic Night to Saturday to accommodate our special guests and benefactors, the Oregon Bears. We started a half-hour early and expanded the show by five slots. Members of the Oregon Bears were in attendence, and three of them actually performed Open Mic acts.
With perhaps a dozen Oregon Bears plus all of SMYRC staff on hand in addition to lots of youth, we had a full house. The show was great, and the youth brought tremendous energy and heart. We had some first-timers perform also, which is always special. The show ran from 7:30 to 9:50 pm - and went much more smoothly than last month. Good job, everyone!
