Bamboo Shoot
Nikon Z6 • AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G
f/8 @ 60mm • 1/750s • ISO 3200
I check on the new bamboo troughs every day, often to water them. This morning I was early. The sun hadn’t been up for long - but the day was overcast, and there was no direct sunlight. I could see it had rained last night, and the bamboo didn’t need any water.
I’ve never had bamboo, before. And although I knew that bamboo is fast-growing, it’s quite incredible to see in person. Bamboo shoots grow amazingly quickly, inches per day. It’s a little scary, actually.
There was a little bit of water on the bamboo shoots left over from the rain. I went and grabbed my Nikon Z6, which had a Micro-Nikkor already mounted. It was a gray day, so the color was subdued.
