they were gods, once: when i started this the only scene i had in mind was the one where gd is swinging in the park. in my head, top is the one who initially had gd locked up because - and i never came up with a reason as to why - he just couldn't handle him anymore

symphonetic: OKAY SO i think everybody who read this when i first posted it knows how much i struggled with it. originally part two was very different than what it ended up being; the throwaway line in the first part about gd having an accent that didn't fit the rave scene got expanded on, because i had top discover by accident - i don't remember how, because he sees gd in the daylight when he's passing through the posh part of town? - that gd is, actually, secretly, incredibly wealthy. he goes to one of the prestigious boarding schools in the area, comes from a life of privilege, etc. and this really fucks with top's image of who he thought gd was, and what kind of person he wanted to be with at that point in his life and basically it's an all-around boner-kill

This can’t be right, Seunghyun thinks, and wonders what crucial detailing he’s been missing every single time he sees Jiyong. Because if somebody’s rich, there’s always some giveaway sign, some name-brand label on the neck of a shirt he should’ve seen, something different and detectable in his skin that Seunghyun’s breathed a rather large amount of by now

“Good for you, Gandhi,” Seunghyun says sarcastically, and is unable to keep irritation out of his voice anymore. How unapologetic and righteous Jiyong is being grates on his nerves. This, he thinks suddenly, is why he doesn’t like getting involved

“Shut up,” Jiyong says, and he manages to insert a short laugh

Or when they wander into a music club, and he somehow ends up with his fingers behind an acoustic and teaching Jiyong how to strum. Jiyong asks him how he got so good, and when he finds out about his music, Seunghyun snorts at the way his eyes widen rather comically

c i t i e s : i have nothing left on this, actually! i posted the scraps that i didn't end up using a while back and.... that's all the extra i had on that, lol. i guess as a giveaway, back when i was writing it with the scraps instead, the fic was supposed to be how top and gd always find each other no matter the universe, no matter the situation. but then i changed it to what it is now, and originally that was about how gd was in a car accident and is now in a coma, and his head is reliving flashes of his life over and over again. then i decided i actually wanted gd awake after the accident but to be a crazy amnesiac trying to get his memory back. and then it just spiraled into something else entirely and i'm not even sure anymore, lmao.
