Wrapping the last strands of pink hair around the hot curling iron, Ai hummed along to Ayabie's 'Kimi no Koe to Yakusoku' as it played from her laptop. Her roomed was now put together; the walls were painted pink with a yellow border, her desk set up along with a nightstand and mirror, and posters and pictures put up everywhere. Even her favorite

"Who could that be?" Her mother turned to her and asked in Mandarin. Kyou shrugged.
"As if I know. Maybe it's just...A well wisher from the neighborhood?" Her father looked surprised, but then went back to his paper.
"KYOUUCHI!" Yuuhi screamed from the hall. "It's someone for you." Kyou raised her eyebrows, getting up from the table and walking through to the front door.
"Ai!" She squealed, smiling and ushering her sister out of the way to hug her friend. "Merry Christmas! This is so unexpected." Yuuhi gawked at the pink-haired girl. "Yuuhi, this is my friend Ai." Yuuhi darted off, to -presumably- blab to her parents. "Come in!"

She knew that it would be more proper to first introduce herself to Kyou's family, but Ai couldn't care less. She just wanted give Kyou her gift, and see if she liked it or not. She waited anxiously for her friend to take and opening the present, shuffling her feet impatiently like a child.

"Thank you so much! I love it." She looked through the photos, laughing aloud at the memories. After putting everything back in the box, she grabbed Ai's hand and dragged her through to the main room, where her family was.
"Ai, this is my mother, Nuan, my father, Chen, and my little sister, Yuuhi." She pointed to them all in turn, and her mother smiled at Ai.
"Hajimemashite, Dozo yoroshiku. Zhang Nuan desu." She said, and her father followed suit. Yuuhi just started at the doll she was playing with.
"I apologize for Yuuhi's rudeness." Kyou said. "Do you want to go upstairs? I have a present for you too, but it's not very good since I didn't really know what to get you..."

"You have a big home, Kyou-chan," Ai said softly. Wondering what Kyou's room must look like, Ai frowned, not being able to imagine it. Brushing it off quickly, though, she continued to follow Kyou.

Lifting her head from the book to say something to Kyou, Ai saw her friend staring intently at the paper in her hands. 'Maybe it fell out of here,' she thought silently. She watched as Kyou seemed to be concentrating, trying to think of something. Ai wondered what, but wasn't sure if she should ask or not.
"Kyou-chan?" Ai called, trying to catch Kyou's attention. "Is that a piece from the scrapbook?" She asked, going with her first guess since it seemed simple enough and would make sense.

"Oh, no, it...I think it was in the envelope with the letter. Actually, I'm sure it was. I didn't have it before, and it'd not have been in the scrapbook." She looked up at Ai, smiling warmly. "It's a photo of me and Xuixui."

"Aww," Ai let out softly. "You two look really cute together." Ai couldn't help but feel slightly envious of her friend and Xuixui. Ai had never been with anyone like that, man or woman. She was glad, though, that Kyou had someone so close to her.

"I...we... Ummm." 'Oh man, she's gonna be so disgusted.' she thought, panicking for a few seconds before realizing that it didn't bother Ai. "Wait, Ai-chan... It doesn't bother you?" Confusion was written all over her face as she tipped her head back to stare at the pink-haired girl.

"Do you know where the school is? I don't. Maybe you could show me where it is? Well, if you know." She chewed her lip, unsure of her idea.
