Wrapping the last strands of pink hair around the hot curling iron, Ai hummed along to Ayabie's 'Kimi no Koe to Yakusoku' as it played from her laptop. Her roomed was now put together; the walls were painted pink with a yellow border, her desk set up along with a nightstand and mirror, and posters and pictures put up everywhere. Even her favorite

Lifting her head from the book to say something to Kyou, Ai saw her friend staring intently at the paper in her hands. 'Maybe it fell out of here,' she thought silently. She watched as Kyou seemed to be concentrating, trying to think of something. Ai wondered what, but wasn't sure if she should ask or not.
"Kyou-chan?" Ai called, trying to catch Kyou's attention. "Is that a piece from the scrapbook?" She asked, going with her first guess since it seemed simple enough and would make sense.

"Oh, no, it...I think it was in the envelope with the letter. Actually, I'm sure it was. I didn't have it before, and it'd not have been in the scrapbook." She looked up at Ai, smiling warmly. "It's a photo of me and Xuixui."
Reply
"Aww," Ai let out softly. "You two look really cute together." Ai couldn't help but feel slightly envious of her friend and Xuixui. Ai had never been with anyone like that, man or woman. She was glad, though, that Kyou had someone so close to her.

"I...we... Ummm." 'Oh man, she's gonna be so disgusted.' she thought, panicking for a few seconds before realizing that it didn't bother Ai. "Wait, Ai-chan... It doesn't bother you?" Confusion was written all over her face as she tipped her head back to stare at the pink-haired girl.

"You love her, don't you? What's disgusting about that? Actually, I think I might be jealous," Ai admitted, again looking at the picture. "I haven't even had my first kiss yet," Ai finished with sigh, just barely able to set her chin upon Kyou's shoulder.
Reply
"Don't be jealous, it wasn't really all that special. She was just using me, and she admitted it. I'm not bitter about it, though. It was fun while it lasted." She let her head fall forward, resting it against Ai's shoulder in return.

"Junpei says that love isn't about gender, and I agree," Ai said, feeling relaxed again by Kyou's closeness. Ai wrapped her small arms around Kyou's waist, still examining the picture.
"You two are still friends, though, right? She did send you a letter and all."
Reply
"Yeah, we're still friends. We were close before, and I don't wanna let a relationship ruin that. Although I don't know what she tried to do with the photo. She didn't mention it in the letter.

"I like boys AND girls," Ai smiled. She had always been open about her sexuality. She firmly believed in Junpei's words, and found herself in the past having crushes on both genders. Acting on those crushes, however, was what she found to be most difficult.
"So, you're parents didn't know about you and XuiXui, then?" Ai asked, Kyou's earlier statement connecting with other pieces of the puzzle. "Why haven't you told them? You are their daughter, so it shouldn't matter...right?"
Reply
She sighed, reaching up to play with her hair. "Do your parents know?" She guessed that they did, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

The gears couldn't help but turn as Ai repeated Kyou's statements in her mind. "So then, if someone were to come up here. Would they automatically think love? Or would they just see it has a friendly gesture?" Ai was truly curious. Kyou's family was very different from her own. Ai's naive sense didn't seem to help her in understanding immediately, either.

"Well...If I went out anywhere with a boy, or had a boy up here, they'd immediately think that I was, you know," she made a humping motion before rolling her eyes. "If it was a girl, they'd not be suspicious even if they walked in on me doing things. It's kinda weird. To avoid any awkward questions, if they ask, I usually just fake a crush on some guy from school."
She'd planned on telling them about her sexuality when she was a little older, maybe when she was in the last year of High School, but Ai's questions had made her think more about how they'd react.

"But it sort of gives you a small advantage, if you think about it," Ai added with a smile, trying to lighten the mood again.

"Advantage?" She was confused. "What kind of advantage?"

Feeling ignored, Ai's stomach let out a growl. Ai, wide eyed, stared at her small dress covered stomach in surprise. "I can't already be hungry, can I?" she asked her stomach, poking at it with her forefinger. Her stomach only replied with a another low growl. "Shh~!" Ai ordered her stomach.
Ai looked up at Kyou with a silly grin. "Sorry," she giggled.

"Ahaha, you're hungry? We can go and get some snacks if you like. I'm sure there's cake in the fridge." Kyou smiled. "Or fizzy juice or chocolate or something. My mum's a real chocoholic now. All her cravings are of cakes, chocolate and caramel."
((OOC: Sorry I'm not so quick to reply more - I'm back at school and exhausted so I can't afford to be up so late.))
