For Spring 2013, Nars launched the And God Created the Woman Eye Kit. I am not sure if it was also available in Singapore, but I picked one up on the way back from an overseas trip.
The palette comes with 6 beautiful and complementary shades, as well as a brush and an eye primer. I haven't tried using either the brush or the eye primer, as I have not figured out how to use the brush since my eye lid space is rather small as compared to the brush, and I am still trying to complete my other eye primers before I open up a new one.
From top to bottom, left to right: Alhambra, a champagne shimmer, Bellisima, a matte grey-taupe, Kalahari, a warm-toned shimmer taupe, Galapagos, a rich brown with golden flecks, Coconut Grove, a deep chocolate matte brown and Night Clubbing, a golden shimmer black.
The palette is pretty small, which I'm actually thankful for because I have been carrying it out with me everyday. I've been looking for a good neutral palette that works for day and night that's small enough for my purse, and this fits the description perfectly! It does come with the usual rubbery Nars casing, which is a dirt magnet, but I actually don't mind it so much.
Anyway I have been playing with the palette for some time and I have to declare my love for it. If you can get your hands on it one way or another, grab it. I don't own any other Nars eyeshadow, so I cannot say if the quality is the same, but it is lovely and very pigmented. It is not powdery, and applies very smoothly. Even the matte shades are easy to apply and not chalky at all.
I do find that Galapagos has some fallout, while the golden shimmer in Night Clubbing actually does not appear when applied - I have no idea where the shimmers went but the good thing is that its not on my face. Other than that, all the others apply smoothly and lasted all through the work day with my Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer.
I really find this palette incredibly convenient; in the day, I use Kalahari as the lid and crease shade, with a bit of Galapagos in the corner of my eyes to add definition, followed by Alhambra as highlight and Night Clubbing as liner. I then use Coconut Grove on my brows - it looks really dark but is actually a great match for my really dark brows. If I want to use it for night, then I will use Kalahari as the lid shade, and Galapagos in the outer V and Night Clubbing to further smudge out a black eyeliner and along the lash line. It's the same colours, but used in a different way, they can be very versatile and produce a variety of looks.
In all, totally loving this!
