EPIC MARAUDERS CASTING PICSPAM PART III
so here is the third (and probably final) part of the marauders era casting picspam! believe me there will be more harry potter loving in the future *cough*nextgenharrypottercharriespicspam*cough* so yeah, these are the other characters that appear in the series or are mentioned that i felt like casting and decided should have a place in this long diatribe about the characters of the marauders era. these characters will be divided by the hosue they were in: gryffindors (not mentioned in the last spam), ravenclaws, and hufflepuffs (my slytherin love was held for the previous part of the spam). i could've casted more, i realize(e.g. emmeline vance and xenophilius lovegood), which i might do in the future, but i've had these characters picked and casted for awhile and it was just a matter of getting the graphics done before i got too lazy. also! i want to let y'all know that if you have any questions about my picks or any suggestions and such, please put those in your comments! the rants aren't that long in these because i honestly didn't know what to say, so if you urge me to talk, i can do that! much appreciated c: lastly, remember all of these pb choices are fashion models. so without further ado...
GRYFFINDORS
(NOT MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY)
why this pb was chosen: so i decided to actually cast the weasleys because i discovered more redheaded models than i warranted! yayyy gingers! so yeah, there is no other male model that i could think of to play arthur besides george alan. because he's scruffy and eccentric and adorable and hot! because honestly, i don't think molly wouldn't have endured so many babies if arthur wasn't once upon a time a super stud in the sack. i mean obviously you have a very healthy sex life if you had 7 kids together! the picture on the bottom right is just cute and the background reminds me of the eccentricity and colorfulness of the Burrow. he's a pureblood, but he's considered a blood-traitor. he's absolutely lovable and accepting and pretty much can take whatever's thrown at him. arthur is a wonderful man, and i think george captures that scruffy eccentric adorable stud that i think young!arthur was.
why this pb was chosen: i've always felt like that since the marauders were in their teens in the 70s, the order was kind of like this big liberal hippie organization going against the conservative pureblood grain xD so molly prewett-weasley, i feel, would give off a very chill and accepting vibe. i feel she's always been a big mom, even before she actually became one, dealing with her twin brothers who i feel were younger than her (correct me, if i'm wrong). regardless of age, i think molly had a sense of duty to the people she loves and cares for especially her own siblings. so why barbara? well, i picked her because she was a more full figured model compared to the other redheaded models, so she fits in with the nice pear shape that molly had. i mean sure when she got older and preggers, she would have blown up, but i think that growing up she was a fine-looking ginger c: plus her face goes along with the boy i picked for her brothers. she has a bit of a bohemian edge yet sharpness to her features that kind of give molly that sort of kick.
why this pb was chosen: so i fail and couldn't find two pbs for both boys, but since they're twins i thought it was okay to use the same guy. i tried to show, like, the two of them as different by displaying pics from the same shoot but with different outfits...but yeah, both men are described as two of the greatest wizards of the age. so they obviously had to be extraordinary. they were probably well-loved in their time at hogwarts and doing exceedingly well in school. the prewett brothers are just buckets of awesome, and gordon became my favorite redheaded male model, so i felt it was appropriate to use him. plus his facial structure matches that of barbara, so that keeps a family resemblance going.
HUFFLEPUFFS
(THEY'RE ALL LOVELY BOYS WHO ARE FULL OF THEMSELVES...EXCEPT ONE)
why this pb was chosen: the original plan was to cast arthur sales as ted. but i ended up deciding against it because arthur shared a lot of features with who i casted in the black family, and i wanted ted to be a definite anti-black. so we have marcus who's features are light and a bit neutralized. this boy is beautiful! and endearing! and he's totally bright and shiny (look at the bottom pic). i find ted to be like that really really good guy that everyone loves, and andromeda is the dark and twisty girl who falls for that guy, in this kind of inward psychological quest for bright and shiny wholeness and fulfillment. but there's an issue...he's a muggleborn. so there's a kind of down to earth quality to marcus that i like a lot too. he has commerciality to him that is appealing. he's not all that spectacular or super stunning...but he's beautiful in his simple and pure (read:not aristocratic and sophisticated) way. definitely going to write me a andromeda x ted tale one of these days...
why this pb was chosen: uh well this was one of those castings that i was just like 'hey, let's cast him. he's random.' but yeah...i picked kevin mainly because i don't like him all that much. he's a good model and good-looking and all, i just don't care for him. and i feel as though amos, though a hufflepuff, is a bit full of himself (read a fanfic where he wasn't the nicest person). i think the hufflepuffs are actually very amiable friendly social butterflies of hogwarts (while gryffs are the bold and the beautiful, slytherins the sly and seductive, the ravenclaws the clever and chic), so you have amos who like his son was a quidditch guy, and so i'm going to portray amos as kind of full of himself jock guy who people like because he's fun to be around, but is a bit of a douche because he's full of himself. does that make sense?
why this pb was chosen: now this one is definitely full of himself. gilderoy is not all that spectacular, but he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. so i picked helge because he was a blond i really wanted to use in these picspams, and i saw the pics i used for the graphics, and i thought they screamed 'i think i'm a total bamf'. he's created this persona of himself that's super charming to the ladies and can sweet talk his way to anything. and then when things don't go his way he can just cast a forgetfulness charm on them. he'd be super trendy and a bit of a metrosexual...so yeah. i needed a good blond for him, and i picked helge.
RAVENCLAWS

why this pb was chosen: so this is pretty much my favorite pic of this part of the spam because of the pics i chose. they all should exhibit the absolute bamfiliciousness (yes, i made that word up) that is dorcas. in kali's words, she's 'tiny and kickass'. yeah, basically i wanted dorcas to be all 'rawr', and kali suggested this super fierceness right here, and i was all 'hell yes' xDDD so yeah dorcas = awesome.
why this pb was chosen: rita skeeter is really cool. she's like the gossip girl of the harry potter world. so in high school i feel as though she was still this huge gossip...but you wouldn't expect her to. she's kind of tiny and assuming and if she didn't open her mouth and unleash her sharp tongue, no one would know she was there. how fitting that her animagus is a fly. philipa is a really awesome model with a really great look that exhibited this sort of demurity yet fierceness and glamour that i felt rita grew into having. and in the words of gossip girl herself: bitches don't just happen, they're made.
