Title: an argument against constructionism Written by: tigersharks A remix of " this town ain't big enough!" by colorfunk Pairing: Sehun/Lu Han Rating: PG Warnings: None Summary: Sehun has an identity crisis.
ahh i love this so much!!! the brisk kind of clinical mood is so well suited, and i love that it's framed as a flashback with the characters coming across more mature/jaded and like, detached from each other, so even before the rejection it's what you're expecting (love that scene, then pretended to fall asleep oof). and the part about assumptions, how sehun doesn't actually know much about luhan at all, ouch. i think this is my favorite: "Same," Lu Han said, "but I think you've seen much more than I have." He looked sorry. / "Don't try to read my mind, it creeps me the hell out," Sehun lied. bc augh so great (he lied!), the sense of regret (except not even regret, like a stale sort of nostalgia??) that runs through in a rly muted way, bc running away honestly would've been rash and naive and in the end sehun manages to grow up and into his sme role on his own. but still ouch
( ... )
there's something bittersweet about the whole thing, and i like it. it's a lot more realistic. and agh, my hunhan feels are just going off like crazzyyy...
