i was going to text message you last night and tell you i was there. a girl i just met went to the academy for a little while a few years ago. tell me about your school and classes and apartment!

last night i kept thinking about all the old days and the old shows and now i was in this historic place that helped form all of that. we are both in cities that have done something for the music we listen to.

1. I signed the petition months ago, so thats that.
2. I can't wait to go to a show.
3. My apartment isn't so bad. 2 roommates.
I'm taking Intro to Photo, Digital Photo, Photo History & Concepts, and History of Film 2: Post 1940's. All my classes are within a few blocks from my apartment. This is going to be badass. School starts tomorrow and I can't wait!

why does your school start on a thursday? but awesome about starting school. we have to discuss what we are both learning so we can see the different ways of teaching. how are your roommates, are they cool guys?

a long time ago (not that long really) i was at a show and there were all these kids being jerks to some hippie guys banging their heads. (the kids were those idiotic hardcore kids who run around with x's on their hands and bane t-shirts) i was disgusted and said "boy some people need to listen to some operation ivy" everyone around me gave me looks like "who the fuck is that? are they on victory records or something?" only one person looked back at me and said "fuck yeah man thats what im talking about!"

and i donated 20 bucks to the cbgbs fund.

i was thinking about how the "scene" (as it could be called) has progressed. it used to be about unity and everyone is the same. but now in most cases its about whose pants are the tightest, whose hair looks best on myspace. its dumb.

there is unity in new york though, or at least i saw it and it was alive and well.

i will let you know what happens to cbgbs. the evicition notice starts today but they have over 50,000 names and the mayor and governor on their side. they just want to stay in the same location due to the importance (plus the landlord wants to turn it into a ?disney store?---that's what one guy on stage said yesterday) but they said they won't leave unless they are dragged out.
