a walk with new friends turned into burrito dinner which turned into a stroll down third avenue which turned into the east village which intersected a street named Joey Ramone Place which lead to stumbling upon a bouncing souls show at CBGB's (!!!)

this was possibly [god i hope not] the last show at CBGB's due to legal prolbems and a lease that ( Read more... )

i was going to text message you last night and tell you i was there. a girl i just met went to the academy for a little while a few years ago. tell me about your school and classes and apartment!

last night i kept thinking about all the old days and the old shows and now i was in this historic place that helped form all of that. we are both in cities that have done something for the music we listen to.

1. I signed the petition months ago, so thats that.
2. I can't wait to go to a show.
3. My apartment isn't so bad. 2 roommates.
I'm taking Intro to Photo, Digital Photo, Photo History & Concepts, and History of Film 2: Post 1940's. All my classes are within a few blocks from my apartment. This is going to be badass. School starts tomorrow and I can't wait!

why does your school start on a thursday? but awesome about starting school. we have to discuss what we are both learning so we can see the different ways of teaching. how are your roommates, are they cool guys?

I don't know, its crazy.
I actually don't even have class on thursday, so I go on Friday and then its Labor Day weekend after that, so i don't know.
My roommates are both introverts.
They hardly ever even leave their rooms.
And then I come home at like 5 am and piss them off.
Its awesome.

wierd. my roommates are pretty cool. i am the oldest one (by like three/ four years though) so you have your own room and then share a kitchen? i am in this gorgeous building that people envy us for. it's an old apartment complex from the very very early 1900's. i am talking wood floors, lovely doors, its so nice. but the way they have it arranged for rooming isn't. me and one girl are in what was once the master bedroom and then they put THREE girls in what was the living room. so i feel so bad for those who just sleep in a big open room. and in reality its only supposed to be two in the open room but sva screwed up and overbooked.

are you staying out with ali until 5 am. if so tell her i said hello and i've been meaning to call her but with the three hour time difference and the fact that she is/was on tour i have no clue when to even call.

My dorm is an apartment from, probably the 1960's or so, but its pretty dope. There's a lounge in the basement with compters, foosball, vending machines, and a bigscreen with Direct TV. I have to share a room with a Japanese guy, though. He never talks or really goes anywhere. Its cool though. I haven't hung out with Ali yet, because she isn't back from tour. She invited me to a Pinback show in Oakland on sunday though. I don't know if I'll be able to go.
