I think a good sign of a solid weekend is when you look back at your pictures and your eyes are closed in half of them, and your mouth isn't just smiling, it is open and laughing. I love that. Just looking back at pictures that put you in a great mood because everything about it reminds you of good times and good friends (and good booze).
Friday was DZ roundup.
Saturday was ESPN College Gameday, and then 8 hours later it was followed by the amazing Clemson/Georgia Tech game.
Sunday was initiation for the new DZ girls.
So Friday was ridiculous.
Saturday might have even topped that..
And Sunday was just me recuperating from all of that.
That was honestly one of the best football games I've ever been to. It was so fun and exciting and everyone I loved was there, and I met some new people, and I almost got in a fight in the bathroom, and I snuck rum and Coke into the stadium, and I didn't even have a ticket but I got in somehow.. It was incredible. And then we rushed the field after we won.. And I got on TV! There were just so many exciting events this weekend.
It is times like these that will make me never forget my college experience, and just want to stay here forever.
Actually, I would rank this weekend up there with one of my top weekends of all time. And I believe I said that a few weeks ago. So there is clearly a pattern, and you want to know what it is? It's all about the people you hang out with. Sometimes I think we hang out with people who we don't really care about but we just have to be nice to. But it's when I hang out with people whom I truly love spending time with that I come out if it feeling ecstatic and grateful and completely at peace with the world. And I know it is those specific people who make me have these "best weekends of my life" because it is the same general groups that I hang out with.
Case in point: this weekend. Got to have fun with all my DZs on Friday, and all of our dates. Saturday I went to my favorite fraternity's tailgate, and I love those guys so of course that was fun. And then during/after the game I was with what I like to call my GDI group of friends, I guess you could say.. But who I always have so much fun with, and who never fail to make me laugh. I wish I spent more time with them, they just live on the other side of campus and I am lazy.
People never cease to amaze me. Like honestly, just when you think you really know someone.. they can turn around and surprise you. It's such a great thing. You look at them in a whole new light, with a new sense of understanding, especially if you feel like you can relate to them. Anyway, that happened to me this weekend and it really changed my view on some things.
Thank you, Pino, if you read this..
I kind-of met a guy this weekend. Well, see I've met him before but I didn't ever really get his name. Somehow we met up before the game and ended up sneaking in together (we didn't have tickets), and he made the game soo much more fun. And then afterwards we went back to Pat's place, and he went to get food because he was hungry. I was hungry too but I didn't go with him because it was cold outside and I was exhausted. Sooo 30 minutes later I get a phone call from him, he's downtown and he wants to know if I want anything from Todaro's.. So he ended up bringing me back some pizza and a water. Haha. Seriously though it was really sweet and thoughtful, because he didn't have to do that at all, and he went out of his way to call me.
So he asked me to the movies sometime this week and hopefully our schedules will work out so we can go. I love it when guys actually ask you on a date, because it shows they want to get to know you outside of the party scene, and it shows they aren't in it just to hook up.
It's just so weird. Some days, all I want is a boyfriend here that I can snuggle up to and do fun things with and have someone to make your day better... But then there are weekends like this, and I meet so many new people and have such a great time with so many amazing guys that I don't want to hold myself back and be tied down. It's hard either way.
I'm just going to enjoy being young and crazy. :)
I probably have other news but it's actually 4:04 in the morning and I'm sleepy. So it will have to wait.
