If only all Mondays started like this...

Sunday didn't quite see the Swiss family Reinhardt descend upon Wantsead flats fun fair with Robert 'my Mum reckons he looks like Elton John' Yates - instead after our traditional Sunday afternoon lashfest, it all got very drunken and a tad lairy, me losing my patience with my Nan's emotional blackmail and playing various grandchildren off against each other and deciding enough was enough and with loosened tongue decided to remind her in front of everybody else well chosen misdemeanours on her part - being reminded of her fallibility didn't sit well with Nan - oh well I suppose she'll get over it. That or forget, but like all these things in our family they tend to be forgotten quickly.

Eveything after around 7:30pm got really hazy. I vaguely remember an exchange of texts one of which ended up in me having a conversation with 'Oi Delgado'. Now unknown to her my phone died on me mid conversation. I then passed out and upon waking up Bank Holiday Monday at 6am with the grandmother of all hangovers checked my mobile and found the following text from said lead singer of Pop group;

'You just put phone down on me? Was going to say you one of the few men I know who really properly loves women. It's beautiful to see you love their hearts and minds as well'.

Having absolutely no idea where she got this idea from but feeling obliged to thank her for such kind words and explain that my phone had died on me, not that I put the phone down, I responded forgetting her insomnia and got the following reply;

'Only got the first half to your message so far. Will explain what I mean when I see you but I definitely believe it to be true'.

Again, I wanted to record this in case sometime from now I could do with re-reading this.
Left me feeling good despite my hangover. Things may never work out with regards to Women but it is of great comfort to me that it is apparent to others that I'm being true.
