I am kind of disappointed at Batman as a whole for having a poor male/female villain ratio but :shrug:

What is "Challenge of the DC Super-Friends" I can only find a cartoon series about it. Is it part of the Batman/Superman run?

I agree with the article too. MArtha should have been seen doing more. It was all about Thomas, which even though I am male, still strikes me as sexist. Same thing with never showing Barbara Gordon's face.

I know that in Batman Year One, Bruce saves Jim's son, but come on here, Barbara is an extremely important person in the Batman-mythos.

MAybe the next movie will have better female non just Catwoman roles. I want to see more references to Martha, and I want some woman who is not just a love interest or a semi-corrupted cop. We should get some more info/interaction from Barbara too.

You know seeing Renee' Montoya would be cool.

Oh, when I say Barbara, I mean the daughter, not Jim's wife, but she should get some more screen time too.

I think a lot of it does have to do with the whole Rachel deal--she's just a flat character to me, for some reason. (Or rather because I think it's kind of silly to introduce a new female character in the Batman world, when there's already plenty of good ones with lots of depth that exist in the comics.) And at any rate, here's hoping they'll up the ante if they ever get around to introducing a female villain.

I am quite happy that Heath is getting the recognition he deserves, though. And I do agree it's probably due at least a little to the fact that it's still fresh in everyone's mind. Is okay, though. Because we'll still know The Joker is tops, long after everyone else forgets it.

See? This here just shows exactly what the problems are with movies these days. Having interesting female characters. Personally, I think it's just getting a little ridiculous how they are just stuck as the hot girlfriends or when they do star in a film, it usually involves getting a man in the end. I can rant forever in this....
