Permanent fixture 'round these parts

Jun 21, 2007 21:12

Although the title of this entry might not give it away, guess who bought themselves a permanent account after wanting, wanting, WANTING one since, like, the early 2000's? Oh, yeah, IT'S ME!!! Whoot! Never have to pay again! Now watch Livejournal cave-in, break, and disband in the next week and a half because I have the shittiest luck with things like that.

Also, guess whose birthday is literally a week from today. Wha. Not so "whoot!" but it's me. It's weird how when you're young, you get all excited about your birthday and at some point not so much and eventually you dread it. I'm not quite to the dreading point (I have a feeling that one will come in 2 years when I turn 25. Not old, to be sure, but...it's just one of those ages, you know?)

Urg, so much has happened lately that I haven't felt like recording. I found out a co-worker allegedly "likes" me (god that sounds so middle-school) and was appropriately weirded out. Not only do I not view him that way, his mother is practically my supervisor! Awkward much? But I'm hoping that's behind me. Heh, he asked me out and I was going to drag Tracy along but then both Tracy and I didn't feel so hot so we both bailed on him and he hasn't brought it up since...knock on wood. I really hope he doesn't because I don't want to have to hurt his feelings but...eh.

Work's been super busy for this time of year. We're changing the way we do things and it's really mucking things up for now and probably the next couple months at least. Maybe one of the reasons I haven't posted lately. I've been so tired when I get home from work, the most I usually do is veg out in front of the tv.

Speaking of tv, The Closer, The 4400, and The Dead Zone premiered this week. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that latter 2 had so I just setup my TiFaux to tape them both Friday at 2 and 3 am and will watch them Saturday probably. Alissa, a coworker who watches both, really wanted to talk them over today because I'm the only other person there that watches them and I had to tell her I missed them. At which point she wanted to tell me what happened. I told her if I couldn't find it anywhere to record, she could tell me. But The Closer was good! Brenda protecting Provenza's position on the team was sweet...even if she kinda sucked at it. And even though Flynn is easily old enough to be my dad, every time that man is on screen...yum. If only Brenda would dump annoying, boring Fritz. God that guy just sucks the life right out of every scene he's in. Flynn's where it's at Brenda! Who cares if he's a subordinate? It happens! Look at Grey's Anatomy!

I need some Closer icons.
