Crappy new watch, Grey's Anatomy "My Favorite Mistake"

I'm so annoyed. I bought a Casio Baby-G watch off of Amazon, this one, and the damned thing is freakin' huge. It's heavy and clunky and looks like a guy's watch. My mom kept asking me if it was even though Baby-G's are for women and the stupid thing is pink. My sister suggested they were aiming at the gay man market with it. So I have to ship it back and pay for shipping (again since I paid rush shipping the first time because I wanted it right away and I'm a 'tard) and now I have to pay shipping again to send it back plus insurance and I'm sure Amazon doesn't refund that plus it takes 2 weeks to get your money back after they've received it. Urg! The only thing stopping me from going completely ape-shit over the whole thing is the fact that had I bought it directly from Casio, it would have been even more expensive and probably harder to send back. So I guess tomorrow I'm going back to Wal-mart and buying a shitty Timex watch instead.

In less bitchy news, you were right, prx, it was a new Grey's Anatomy! Yay! And it was a good one too, I thought. I'm still not behind the George/Izzie stuff but I did actually feel sorry for Izzie at the end and that's alot because I've been annoyed with her lately. And the Der/Mer stuff was delicious. That scene at the end was so cute.

I kinda wish they'd kill off Burke or something though. He's such a pompous ass, I can't stand the way he treats Cristina or the seeming belief from the writers that we're supposed to be on his side every single time. I wish she'd wake up and dump him. He's so controlling and every time she puts her foot down in an issue in their relationship he reacts by pulling rank at work on her or dehumanizing her. And it really annoys me that a character as strong as Cristina puts up with it. I think they should kill Burke in some tragic way then they'd have that assy character off, Cristina could have a huge plot that Sandra Oh could act the hell out of, and they'd finally take care of that pesky Issiah Washington problem too. But no, instead we get more of Burke being pissy because Cristina doesn't submit to his stupid whims. Oh look, I've gone off on a tangent.

I'm really starting to like Alex though. I like what they're doing with his character. In the first season and most of season 2, he was just kinda there. He didn't feel like to me he was a main character. They didn't flesh him out. I like that he's now living in Mer's house and a member of the "family". I like his interactions with Jane Doe, although I'll be really glad when they get her a new face because she looks like the kid off of the Cher movie Mask. I am glad they didn't pair him off with Addison like it looked like they were going to, probably becuase of her getting her spin-off. I'm in the minority I think in that I don't really care for Addison. I don't hate her, I just don't give a crap about her. I don't ever remember feeling much of anything for her, all through season 2. It sucks the way she found out Derek was with another woman (the panties) but even then I didn't feel for her. So I won't be watching the spin-off.

And finally, Sloan last night. I also seem to be in the minority in that I don't find him "McSteamy" although I will admit Eric Dane is a good looking man. He did make me laugh a couple of times last night and I would like to see him and Derek become sort of friends again. I was waiting for Bailey to beat the shit out him after his "right now" plan was revealed.

And on the subject of "ten year plans", I thought Derek said he didn't have one when he had his conversation with the chief. So why several scenes later had he apparently used one in his interview? Stupid. He really seemed so much brighter, career-wise, season 1 and early 2.

At this point, if they do get a new chief, I kinda hope it's some random hire-in from another hospital or something because I don't want to see any of the attendings be chief. I think the only 2 that should have a chance should be Derek and Burke because both were promised the job by the chief and their surgical background is more impressive. I mean, who's gonna want to use a hospital where the surgical chief's specialty is plastics? It seems so Californian. And I just don't think Addison has what it takes to be chief, though most would disagree. I'm not really sure Derek does anymore either though. And I can't stand Burke so even though he might be good at the job the thought of him getting it makes me ill.

And finally, if they don't quit cutting in on Grey's Anatomy previews and such at the end of the episodes with that lame ass October Road, I swear...! Especially since it comes on right after! What's the point in previewing for it when it's coming on? I'd rather they put Men In Trees back on. I finally watched a full episode last it was on and found it just soapy enough for my liking and want to see the back episodes. But nooooo! Put on a show with Laura Prepon still with that shitty blond hair she had the last seasons of That 70's Show. Seriously, that hair color looks horrid on her. She'd look better as a brunette even if she doesn't want to be a redhead. The blond washes her out and makes her look like a brain eating zombie.
