My new favorite snack: green olives stuffed with almonds
My new favorite dinner: spinach fettichini w/ marinated artichokes
The best piece of fruit I've ever had?: the nectarine I had for dessert after dinner...juicy, sweet, and delicious!
In other food news, the world of private label at Daymon is getting ready to announce the newest member of the Business Management team on Thursday....drum roll please....that would be me! A lot of people have been asking, perhaps wondering, what I'd be doing with work after the program I'm in is done and where I would be preforming these new tasks. Well, it turns out there weren't any open positions in Grand Rapids, so I'll be staying in good old Rochester, kicking it up a notch as an Associate Business Manager. It's been a long time coming, waiting for the political business of HR and following their proceedures, but the offical annoucement is supposed to come at Thursday's staff meeting and the offer letter is on its way. So that leaves a lot of time for people to visit the ROC before the snow starts falling this winter. :)
Shaun is looking for a job here, he will be moving here!!!! :), and I can't wait.
It's funny, people ask me how things are going and my usual reaction is just busy....busy because I'm doing different/ more things at work, planning a wedding, figuring out what the living situtation is going to be, etc. The best part of all the busy-ness is due to the fact that all sorts of great things are happening. I really can't complain about the way things are going.
Shaun and I enjoyed a weekend of camping, eating too many smores, and a certain whomping on the putt-putt green, thanks to me. Anyone interested in a New York camping adventure come late September/Octoberish?
I finished the "Book of Bright Ideas" for book club...cute book and a good summer read.
P.S. - I kinda can't wait for the premiere of The Hills on MTV. Yes, I'm 23 years old.
