Well, I did things on Sunday that were great. Had a nice time at Buckhead Community. It was nice and relaxing.
Here are the top 15 most revolutionary things/events/people that have changed my life (in no particular order):
1. Seeing silverchair when I was in 5th grade and then buying Frogstomp (1995). I can't believe they've been my favourite band for 10 years.
2. Going to New Bethany's beach retreat July 20th - July 25th, 1998. That's when I became a Christian.
3. Going to Myrtle Beach for the summer in 2002. Life = changed forever.
4. Meeting Barney Williams for our first akward breakfast at McDonald's (2000). Since then, it's been a fun ride.
5. Smoking pot for my first time when I was in 6th grade (I don't even think my druggie brother knew about it), then getting drunk for the first time a few months later (1996). Seriously, a cool feeling that I haven't forgotten about.
6. Australia, Summers of 2003, 2004, and 2005. Enough said.
7. Going to 7:22 for the first time and then reading Experiencing God the next day (2000). What an intense week.
8. Meeting friends at GC (2003, 2004, and PART OF 2005).
9. Hanging out with Jen and Brett at Six Flags in the summer of 1999.
10. Cell phone.
11. Losing my virginity.
12. Going to FallQuest in 2000. I saw Cool Hand Luke, Luti-Kriss, Sagoh, The Goodbye Letter, Switchfoot, and the Insyderz.
13. Going to this house in the mountains with my family. I don't remember much of it, but I remember playing out in the yard with my little sisters. There were flowers all around and it was HOT. I also tried to ride this 4-wheeler by myself and got scared because it kept jerking me forward. It was also hard to turn. I give up easily.
14. Going to Panama City every year with my brother, mom, cousin, and aunt. Those were so rad, because we always got so much "stuff" before we went. CD players, clothes, shoes, cool candy, accessories, toys, etc. We did vacation like no one else. Then, I went to Club La Villa's "Dark Room" and that changed the way I looked at girls. I was only 11, but said I was 13 (the "dark room" was for ages 13-18). La Bouche's "Be My Lover" was THE song of that summer.
15. The Internet (and later on, Apple computers)
I saw Missy Higgins on Sunday night. She was freaking AMAZING. She's playing again for FREE next Sunday night. If you don't have anything to do, please consider going to this show. She's a lovely, young Australian performer who plays the piano and has a voice as soothing as a cough drop.
Oh, God!
