I'm so happy that the first "week" of classes for the second semester is finally over! I started out with 18 hours but cut it back to around 15 because one of them required me to put in 7-14 hours of work per week...which I don't have...that would mean cutting into what little time I reserve for sleeping so yeah. I guess next semester I will have to take another science course...a Chinese Theatre (or Japanese Theatre) course...a philosophy course...and a communication course...plus classes that I need to take for my respective majors. Hopefully I can take summer classes this year if my parents allow me to because that will certainly clear up some space on my schedules for classes that I really need to take for my majors.
So here is a play by play of my classes so far (first impressions and whatnot):
Drama ~~ my professor is a character...like literally...he went on for five minutes talking about how we're all too attached to our computers and how they are our "lovers"...I mean...umm...no...I am highly dependent on my computer I admit but never "lover-anything" it...--; The professor sorta gives off an air of being nice...but sorta assholey at the same time if you guys get what I'm trying to say...
Computer Programming ~~ is confusing as Lord knows what...cus yeah it took me far too long today just to get a program downloaded and installed properly...and it killed my iPod! (more on this later...) The teacher seems to be horribly dull...the kind of dull that's like geeky but he doesn't know it sorta dull...with a small chance of humor (which is not admired by me).
English (Creative Reading) ~~ the teacher I think is a complete nutcase...he is just a tad too interested in reading books...he seems enthusiastic but it's sorta so enthusiastic he's sorta creepy about it...
Chinese Civilization ~~ it's the same teacher as the one I had for Chinese 313 last semester so I know how her mind works but it's a real pain because I have to call her "professor" instead of "lao-shi" which I'm used to...
Chinese ~~ oooh boy...that's all I can really say...this class is going to be a toughy. I can just feel it already. I'm going to have to dedicate a lot of my time outside of class preparing for that class. On the other hand there are no more quizzes we have to take but her test format seems harder TT...I also have like this handwriting assignment where I have to learn how to write Chinese "running-style" which is like English being written in script or cursive...
So yeah...I killed (or ALMOST killed) my iPod today...no clue how I did it...at first...like I had downloaded some new albums and wanted to upload them onto my iPod plus update it's software and stuff so I plugged it in and this error message pops up saying that my iPod is under "recovery mode" and needs to be "restored"...so I did...and I get the same freakin' message like five more times...I start to freak out and think "OMG I killed my iPod! Now I have to freakin' buy a new one and I'm going to be so poor!!!!!!!!" But whatever little sense I had in me made me look up a solution on the Apple solutions website and then I was redirected to the Microsoft website to finally learn that because of my installing this program for Computer Programming earlier that gave me an H: drive (the same drive as my iPod) my computer no longer recognized the iPod so I had to figure out how to rename the drive my iPod was under (which I successfully accomplished) and then I had to wait till all the songs reuploaded itself onto my iPod before I go to dinner --;...sigh...the stress of it all...
