I am so glad to be home. This is the first time since leaving for vacation with the kids mid-June that we've all be home together for a period that'll last for more than 4 days

I've discovered in this past very busy and stressful work month that in the middle of a day I'll begin pining for my laundry. All I'll want to do is simply do my laundry. It is tactile, basically brainless, it smells good when it comes out of the dryer...I can feel accomplished and not drained. In fact I've done a lot of laundry recently. Ok, new behaviour to watch for...laundry envy = work stress. All of the laundry being done means I'm out of drawer and closet space, which means a whole lot of closet and drawer clearing is in my future. The harvest and weeding of our times.
I spoke to a friend and told her it felt like it was time for everyone to take a breath and settle in to some self focused time. Seems like I'm not the only one of that mind.
