Day 2! (of 4 until UT starts)
So today, I went to bed at around 10 A.M., finally.. and woke up at about 11 A.M. 'cause my roomie's parents were moving stuff into the room. And then I couldn't fall asleep again 'cause the room was so cold.
My roommate's aunt decided to take me, my roommate (Mary), and Mary's mom out to brunch, so we went to some popular restaurant, and there, we saw a bunch of skanky sorority girls. The omelet that I ordered was so great! (And now I totally love Mary's mom and aunt.)
Eh, so then Mary and I walked back, and I went to a double E FIG (Resistance) meeting, where I discovered that I'm 1 of 2 girls there. I got back, got online for a while, and talked to a couple people on AIM and tried to buy books.
Haha, Mary has such great taste in music! (And she likes blasting it on her stereo.. way awesome!) And then we had a pretty interesting chat about relationships and food. (lol)
Later, at around 6 or so, she and I decided to walk over to the Jester cafeteria 'cause we didn't really wanna buy anything at Kinsolving. It was a pretty long walk, but it was enjoyable. (It wasn't so hot anymore, and I really needed to walk some.) We bought sandwiches, and I tried to max out a bit more of my orientation money at Jester City Limits. Ooh! It was weird 'cause while we were eating, I was looking through the window, and I could've sworn that I saw Matthew McCormick! It looked so much like him, but I didn't have time to call out to him. I really wonder if that was him though, 'cause I do believe that he lives in Jester. Hmm.
Okay, I got back, and I had an extremely terrible conversation on AIM with a certain person.. so I felt incredibly bad after that. And it wasn't until after much warm comforting that I felt like I could function again.
Eh.. so then it was about 9, and Mary and I decided to check out the pizza social in the Whitis courtyard, since people had invited us earlier. Yeah, well, not much happened there, but then we watched Anchorman with a bunch of guys (seriously, there were very few girls there) in the Whitis C hall.
We got back; I got on AIM again, and then suddenly a really friendly guy down the hall named James randomly decided to come over and talk to us! (I assume he came to see me, 'cause he didn't know Mary, but they got to know each other.) And then we went over to his room to make fun of his room layout design and look at his pretty compie. He and his roommate George walk back over to our room, and we sit around for a while, chatting about stuff, mostly our high school and our love lives (mostly James's). Eh, George went back to their room, and James and I sit on my bed for a while playing electronic chess on his cell phone. That was pretty cool.
And then I went back to the AIM conversations and looked up a couple of professor ratings.
And now bed. (5:30 A.M... hey, that's way better than yesterday!)
