France

Getting over here wasn't really hard. Our flight from PIT to JFK was delayed for two hours, but I slept most of the flight over to JFK and the flight to Nice was just me sleeping off and on and eating. The first day we got our paperwork done, unpacked a bit, went to town and went to the beach. Some of us went out to an Irish pub, it was alright. The next day we had our placement test and informational meetings. We went to town on the bus to get stuff, and then went to the beach after dinner to watch the sunset. Yesterday, we got placed in classes. I'm learning stuff already and I know my French will definitely improve. Its a bit overwhelming since my French isn't perfect and there are probably only 5 words in the class they'll save in English. Then we went to town again last night, got our bus pass, and we bought wine to drink on the beach, which we did after dinner. We built a sandcastle too! It was pretty good :) Today we just had morning class (both class sessions are 3 hours) and then we went to the beach. I'm going to get a good tan here :) too bad it'll probably fade before I get back to PA for August. I LOVE France, I love being here and listening to French being spoken 24/7 and the atmosphere and everything.. It's so funny, you can walk in the quad and hear four languages being spoken at once- English, French, Spanish, German and even some others. I love being here... I don't want to leave ever.
