Well, it looks like seeing various titles such as tactics, Monochrome Factor, and the Matantei Loki series have new life in an online shop was too good to be through. As of May 30, JManga is apparently closing up shop and points sale has been ceased, I believe?

Yes, the title is right! tactics will have an English version of vol 9 rather soon, in fact it should be released next Thursday on Jmanga as I just got an email listing their releases for next week with it written on it. For the past couple months they've been adding each volume of tactics that Tokyo Pop had out, and they do advertise their service ( Read more... )

I just recently came upon this news today. As you may already know, Tokyopop had the licence for tactics...

So, let's discuss the prospects of tactics being picked up by another company here~! And you know, what may happen now that there may not be anymore new tactics volumes in English...

Books-a-million website shows it coming out August 2010 but the local store says they have no release info... Anybody heard anything?

I suppose everyone here who's in the USA (if I'm not the only one!) knows that Tactics is entering Sci-Fi Channel's "Ani-Monday" block this month? It's starting this coming Monday (January 7th) and will be running two episodes every week at 11 and 11:30 PM Eastern time. I'm so excited! I've hoped for a long while to see it on TV. I bought the first english Tactics DVD! LIKE SQUEAL. Anyways, after I watched it, I kept thinking I recongized the voices.
So I did some research, which turned up some very interesting results. Especially for Sugino's voice actor....it's like OMFG WOW!
And the DVD has pretty good special features, too.
