Deployment

A photo of our dining room as of this weekend, all covered in wedding stuff:

So HOLYCRAP it's May, and our wedding is less than two weeks away now. O.o I still have to finish Johnny's jacket -- I got it all cut out and the outer shell assembled over the weekend, so in the next few days after work I have to assemble and install the lining and then finish up with hems and buttonholes and the like. Then it's on to making his tie, re-hemming my skirt and attaching the butterflies, and possibly trying to squeeze in a pair of wings. WHEW.

This week is also shaping up to be a hellish work-week, with meetings and court dates almost every single day. Friday night is Shasta's bachelor party; Saturday I get my hair done; Sunday is Mother's Day and right now I don't even know if I'll be able to go down to my mom's place to celebrate due to all the crazy wedding prep that still needs to be done. *sigh*

Next week I'll have lunch appointments for a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow waxing, in between all the other last minute stuff like making packing lists, setting up our guest room, etc.

My little brother Caleb is being deployed to Iraq for a year, so over the weekend we went to his deployment ceremony on the Buckley army base.

The ceremony...

The medevac helicopter Caleb will be flying over there...

As it turns out he won't be leaving for Ft. Hood for the final stage of his training until the day after our wedding, so he should be able to come!! Very happy about that. :)

Now back to work...
