So a friend asked me if I had any pictures of stuff I've been making. Actually several friends over the last few months..
Anyway XD
I don't have pictures of anything real recent, the cool stuff, but....yeah though I really could take a few pictures of stuff I've made just for around the house...I don't know I'm thinking out loud here..
@_@ Anyway here are some of the things I've made.
Patchy scrappy skirt. I did a horrible job on the elastic but I wear this under tunics that are too short or shirts that are too long, so no one ever sees, teehee
I just needed a little bag to put lunch in for when I'm just having a sandwich and an apple. It's the perfect size and shape for that.
See it closes with a button at the side like so...
And then closes in the front with another button like this. It's all tidy and great, and I made the buttons myself too 8O Yay 100-en shop!
Ear muffs? Hat? I don't know what this is called, but I made this too.
Me wearing it.
These are fingerless fuzzy lace gloves with fold-over mitten tops. I've finished them since the picture was taken. This is the only photo in this entry that was a picture that Mimu took. Notice the quality? That's why he's going to be taking pictures of my stuff from now on, and why I don't have any other pictures because we just haven't had an opportunity to photograph stuff yet. Anyway, this is my first attempt at gloves. I should've made the thumbhole more on the underside of the gloves and not directly at the side, becuase it's a little twisted when you put them on. But now I know and can make better gloves next time! I'm actually really happy with these as they are, they're not twisted that much and it's not irritating or anything. It just sucks that they're white, I can't wear them biking because my handles makes them all dirty :( My mom requested that I make her a pair so she's gonna get the benefit of my previous mistakes XD
Ok that's all for now~
I just finished a really big scarf for my friend Maura, made from 5 different colors of yarn to exactly match her winter coat. Too bad the weather is now warming up and I've yet to hand it over. I only had her pay for the yarn itself, no extra charge. Because she's a friend and that makes her *super extra special* ;) Coincidentally the pattern... I totally mentioned this in a previous entry so I'll stop here!!
Right now I'm working on another scarf/shawl thing, it's an even bigger project than the previous one and I'm excited to see it finished. It's a nice heather beige color, and really really freaking soft lightweight yarn.
I gotta work on my mom's gloves too, I think I have enough thread for it. They'll be mauve because that's just what I have on hand. She said she didn't care what color.
