Why:Hmm.. hard to say o_o; I know I like Carcassonne because it's easy to get into but can be incredibly challenging and competitive

heh, you should have played carcassone against the group i did this weekend, we were cutting each other off at like every oppurtunity. the largest city was like 4 :D

Sadly it's mostly just me and my boyfriend who plays games together. We've tried arranging board game nights for our friends, but uhm. No one seemed interested and the ones who came felt the games took too long T___T;; Anyway, my point is, I'd love to play Carcassonne with.. more opponents. Being just two people is bothersome at times and makes a lot of games less interesting :/

if at first you don't succed try, try again.
Try some shorter games like Bang, Citadels, or something by CheapAss Games. these are great starter games for groups.

When we had our first board game night we got out all the games we had that were "short". We didn't have Carcassonne or anything like that then so uhm. Wasn't that much to choose from ^^; We'll definitely pick lighter games the next time now that we have a selection. We also have Bang (got it for christmas). Haven't been able to try it out yet, so that's definitely being played the next time we have a couple of people over ^_^

HOw is Marvel Heroes? thats a relatively new game.. I've been looking at possible purchase.

I got it for Christmas and I love it! I'm going to play it again fairly soon and I can write up a review type of post and post here? Perhaps that will help you make up your mind on wether or not this is a game you'd like.

However, if you are into comic books (from.. Marvel, obviously) and like a little strategy then this is definitely worth it :) The game is a lot more complex than you'd first imagine, and it has a lot more to offer than nice looking game figures!

Love your game choices! Its a 75% match for me, Carcassonne-BattleLore-Marvel...

Please do review your Marvel Heroes sessions man. I've done a couple and everytime i still make mistakes with the rules, forgetting small details here and there.

I think this game has more depth than some people choose to acknowledge it.

Ah, sure, sure! I have an untyped BattleLore post to do first, but a Marvel review thingie is coming up soon. I'll be sure to post it here once I finish it :)

We spent a lot of time reading the rules and making sure we were following them the first time we played Marvel Heroes. The game really is a lot more complex than you'd first imagine. We chose to sort of more or less ignore the Mastermind aspect of the game for our first play just to make sure we got everything else right (although we did of course try that out as well xD). Was a lot of fun, and I'm sure it'll be even greater once we get used to interfering with various archnemeses etc. :D
