So here's the story. I took biochemistry and organic chemistry at the same time last fall. Stupid idea of a dyslexic - but I didn't really think about that when I was signing up for them nor while I was taking them. I got Ds in both. GPA killer? Heck yeah.
Last spring I retook organic and got a B. My overall GPA that spring was a 3.00. Since my frist semester freshman year I have not gotten above a 3.00. (Loooonnnnnnnngggg story) Fueled by the fact my cumm GPA is terrible (2.67 right now), I tried REALLY hard this semester. I built homework groups, went in for reviews, studied a ton for finals... I don't know my GPA yet for this semester, I don't know what my new cumm GPA is, but I just found out that I got a B in biochem (which will replace my D I got last fall). B = 3.0!
HA!
This just goes to show, the underdog is not always who you expect them to be and they too can do great things. :-P
Beat that my State University!
