1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
lived outside of Michigan for the first time in my life

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Last year's resolution was: learn to deal with depression in some way. I guess I am doing that.
This year, in a related vein: just be happy, however one does that.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Coulson, Grasper, Coop.

5. What countries did you visit?
Canada, yo.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
My answer last year was "I would like to live out of the state for the summer and save a bit of money."
I did live out of state...wow! Didn't really save. In 2009, I'd like to make some amazing art work, show in a reputable gallery, get a good teaching job, and travel more.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
111408 : pain

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Winning a merit scholarship for half my tuition, getting an internship at the Museum of the American Indian in NY, selling artwork in a live auction at school, being chosen as the TA for the studio

9. What was your biggest failure?
my marriage

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
generalize anxiety

11. What was the best thing you bought?
a second computer

still mine

moving to ny, going to miami beach

seeing friends

I wanted (and achieved): all that stuff I wrote about in the achievement question.

Hopefully some of the films I see next week will be one of these.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 28, Gabe gave me a few things (sweater and awesome Michigan and Brooklyn glasses). Ate dinner at the Prickly Pear with Dempz

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Another state of mind

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
death metal loving teacher

34. What kept you sane?
very little has helped

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
i still don't really do this

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
a strange sense of depression after the election. the fear of being let down even more. the fear that my father and grandfather are going to lose their pensions.

37. Who did you miss?
my dad. its his birthday today.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Lynn, Elle, & Kim

Those that are hard to be friends with

Last years: stakes is high. I suppose that is still true.
