this is what
a spinster does:
cleans the cat boxes (even washes them)
sweeps and dusts, under the bed.
she pulls her bike and trainer out from hibernation
and cycles to no where
just to warm her toes.
she stocks amy's microwave indian dinners
and is ashamed, when the indian clerk at the checkout takes note.
she unpacks her luggage weeks later
and is sad, for a few reasons, at all the sand that falls out.
but the highlight of her night, is learning that netflix
has finally updated the mac software for their "watch instantly" feature.
and worst of all, she posts about it on an online journal
who wants to see "he's just not that into you" next week?
