Xbox-ing It

Dec 02, 2010 17:00

The other part of last Thursday through Sunday that didn't involve Family or copious amounts of de-cluttering (seriously I was so bored I cleaned out 2 closets and threw out / rearranged more stuff) involved me spending quality time with my Xbox.

I really haven't been using it much lately has I had been playing games on my laptop.

I had planned to finish up Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood so I can start Red Dead Redemption. And though I am close to finishing up with those angry cussing southern deserter outlaws I got sidetracked by Xander stopping by (he was able to leave work early on Friday) looking to hang out. He brought over laundry (my machine doesn't charge him quarters) and an early Xmas present of Rockband 3 (game and keytar!) and we rocked out.

A few hours later I got a call from Willow saying she was heading down to NY and asking about stopping by. Which turned into 'why don't you stay over, as I've got Rockband 3!"

I really want a mic stand now. Mostly to hit Xander on the head with because for some reason no matter where I'm logged-in in those mini movies he's character still winds up and smacks me on the head with a mic stand. On purpose. It's so obvious on purpose.

Jerk.

Good times were had.

He stopped by again for a few hours in the afternoon on Saturday so we could play a little more. We got the van and the bus.... still trying to get the airplane.

When Roommate returned she was quite excited about seeing RB3 but we did not get a chance to play until last night. Wes was coming over but unfortunately work did not allow Xander to join us, nor could Willow due to other obligations.

The two of them missed the sweet song styling's of Wes.

That's all I'll say.

Okay, I'll say a little more... a combo of Roxette's "The Look" and REM's "End of the World".

Yeah, let your mind imagine that.

Okay, one last thing.

I responded to Angel (when he messaged me asking if I was shootin' bad guys that evening) telling him about Wes & Roxette and he responded with:

"goddamn it!   He should be confined to EMF!"

There's a lot of bad blood there about that. :)

The evening was topped off with Roommate singing what I have now created as her song-list:

Yellow card's "Ocean Avenue"
All American Rejects'  "Give you Hell"
My Chemical Romance's "Black Parade" (which she gushed/glee-ed/bounced over when she realized it was on RB3)

10 out of 10 on each song baby!

500,000 Fans!

But still no Airplane.

To quote Angel: "Godamn it!"

call of juarez: bound in blood, angel, kennedy, willow, xander, rock band
