Aren't the holidays lovely?

I watched a classic Christmas movie the night before: Die Hard. Yippee kai yay MF!

I was lucky enough to get both Christmas Eve & Day off - so what did that mean for me? Two days in a row of hanging with the family and eating more food than was necessary (and that's with me saying 'no' to a lot of the food).

Not to mention the leftovers I've got.

I think I'm going to fast for the next week. Seriously, I am so done with food!!!

Though in change from that previous years instead of just sitting around trying not to fall asleep I got a few family members including my Mom to play a game. We played several fun games of Apples to Apples as it was the easiest game to teach everyone. So that was fun.

Willow & her man stopped by my folks on the way back from her family's gathering on Xmas Day and as it was nearing sandwich told I told her she can say 'no' when she's asked if she wants one but if my Mom keeps asking just say 'yes' and I'd get her tinfoil to make a sandwich to go. When she ended up doing. Saying 'no' is not acceptable, wrapping it up to eat another day though is perfectly acceptable. :)

My Brother & Sis-in-law made it for Xmas Day and the rest of the weekend so I figured we'd go see a movie on Saturday. My Mom understood this to mean that I was coming over for dinner yet again on Saturday. I wasn't. But you know how that goes. Yet another day of a long-ass dinner fest.

We went to see Sherlock Holmes - which by the way was a damn entertaining movie. I recommend it highly.

So I'm thinking between this overdose of food and feeling like a stuffed turkey I've decided to start an exercise regime. I'm still working on figuring some of it out - but part of my routine today involved doing sit-ups with Loki on my lap. No this was not something I planned but apparently when I was lying on the floor my lap looked more comfortable than when I was just sitting on the couch.

So yeah, beat that.
