"She's like a T-Rex, don't make any sudden movements and she might not notice you!"

This past weekend was part 2 of the Silver Kingdom Renaissance Faire. All done now, put away for another year, let's move on to the next thing on the list.

Well even with my involvement being minimal beforehand comparatively, once it was faire time it certainly increased. Again granted when not setting up and cleaning up (ah, the barn of pain) it's just basically being an NPC there was still some work.

Sure not "I'm slightly concussed" level of work but hey I had to attempt to be nice to people. And apparently that is a big deal with me since I'm oh so MEAN! :P

I got compliments on playing my Winter Champion but I did have a moment of feeling like I just told a kid there's no such thing as Santa. (What!?!? LIES!!)

On Sunday mid-afternoon a patron - a guy probably in his 20s or 30s) that I had been talking to for the past two days and who truly enjoyed the whole Winter concept and was really down on Autumn (Boo to the mean old Autumn Undying Champion!!) came up to me very puzzled wanting to ask me a question. He said he was confused because he saw a picture that looked a lot like me but dressed like someone from Autumn.

Ah, the famous photo of Wash & I. In 8x10 version near the gate and billboard size somewhere on route 20.

I had to break it to him that well, 1) those are promotional photos and 2) I'm actually playing an NPC and that 3) coincidentally I do play someone from Autumn in the game and that a lot of the others he had been talking with do as well. Not to mention that those 2 Autumn guys he didn't like... well one was really Spring and the other *gasp* Winter!

I swear, I think he was a little sad.

Oh no! :)

Still it was a lot of fun. Though I'm just as tired as if I had an event. A different type of tired - not so much with tired legs and arms, but still sore. And boy was it nice to have a hot shower and the hotel to stay in. I think it made a big difference.

I also learned that I apparently have many levels of meanness. I just don't see it. I don't know what Knox or any of the rest of you are talking about! :P

And I apologized to that guy, so back off! :(

Gonna spend a little time apart from Knox as well since Tara pointed out when had been reading each others mind and acting alike for the past 2 weekends. That shut both us up with a "Hm. That's disconcerting."

Oh and this past weekend Wes managed not snap at me! Yay! Stayed out of his line of fire. Duck and weave, and find someone tall to hide behind!!

Though I did get a talking to from Willow about the sorry state of my make-up bag and something about a double-sided mirror and I'm sorry I couldn't hear the rest over Knox's laughing at me!

Ah good times.

Now I need to get through this week because little bro's wedding is on Saturday so there's 3 days of fun family social activities in a row. Plus out of country family that is in town that I've apparently slacked off on visiting them enough in the past 2 weeks. Okay in my defense I didn't think they'd arrive 3 weeks before the wedding - the first week being that one with my sign painting madness. I managed not to offend too much by not jamming a visit in the same week I was doing that and going to see NIN with Will.

But last week when I went over for 3 hours I still got the "leaving so soon" guilt look.

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

Hey, maybe things will slow down next week and I can finally get my laptop from Wesley.

Yes, he's still holding it hostage!!! :(

Oh and I'm a DELICATE FLOWER! Angel said so.

So there! :PPPPPPPPPPP

eos, i am not mean!, knox, angel, family, tara, willow, brother, wesley
