this is me ranting to my sister about the election. i don't blame you if you don't read it.

thetourist5: as if republicans haven't been running the country for the past decade

thetourist5: right, so the federal debt is how much money the government has spent that it didn't earn through taxes, right?

thetourist5: so they had to borrow the money from elsewhere
thetourist5: well clinton almost paid down the deficit
thetourist5: bush's first year in office saw the budget pretty much balanced
thetourist5: now, you know how the republicans always run on a platform of small government and little spending?

thetourist5: they say small federal govt and that they'll cut taxes etc etc
thetourist5: and spend less
