(no subject)
Things that have happened in the past two weeks:
- visited Prague and Poland. In Poland we went to the village my grandfather grew up in. It's a small Polish town about half an hour outside of Kielce, with a large church, a square that's been recently redone, and a street of small shops. We went to the house he grew up in and talked (through our driver/interpreter) to the people who lived inside. They've redone it, painted it green, given it a nice garden...it's kind of strange to think about. But we've been there now. I've seen it.
- seen and spent time with and said goodbye to my parents and little sister. I like seeing them. I like spending time with them. I'll miss them dearly.
- got my thesis grade. I got a 9, which is extraordinarily high. Thank you for everyone who helped.
- graduated, thanks to that. Had a little ceremony and everything.
- possibly have a PhD position in the spring?
And now I have to pack up all my stuff and move. (A positive move, but still, a move.)
Somewhat overwhelming, everything. But in a good way. Very much in a good way.
