whether or not you like REM (and it happens i've been discussing this a whole lot lately for no apparent reason), this is a pretty fantastic undertaking. like a well-tempered clavier of um, REM song reviews, the guy who does Fluxblog
also has this incredibly comprehensive blog in which he attempts to write about every single REM song EVER.

Innnnnnnnnnnnnteresting indeed. The reviews are a bit glowing, and I don't always agree, but they seem well thought-out so far - I've only gotten through Document (the first REM album I really listened to) and Out of Time (my favorite and many people's bugaboo, similar to The Hot Rock in that way).

no, i totally love out of time, don't worry. it's the very special and college radio-friendly one-two punch of green's "stand" and OOT's (you guessed it) "shiny happy people" that gives me hives. also - this person is obviously GLOWING with REM worship... who else would take the time for such an undertaking? but totally - i enjoy the michael stipe responses!
