It's summer and this is what I feel like. Just add a glass of pale ale and a stack of Doonesbury comic books.
Well, my week of summer went well. Anna and I lived on my porch for about a week. We watched half a season of Seinfeld, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Dazed and Confused. I've been singing "Slow Ride" for at least three days and have probably gained about five pounds just be being lazy. I didn't go to graduation, but I had my own fire-side fiesta, complete with family members and middle-aged friends. There was beer, there were fireworks, there were smores, there was a bonfire of moderate proportions and there was a cop, but he left. It was a good time! Unfortunately, I don't take pictures, no one else bothered to...so I can't show you a visual of the evening's entertainment, which is probably a good thing, for the sake of posterity. Anyway, got some sweet grad gifts and a nifty little scholarship.
And that was my summer. Now I'm working full-time at the co-op, and will continue to do so until January. New routine! Everyone who's going to college this fall, write about all of your thrilling academic and social experiences--I'm really interested, and I'll need to maintain some kind of contact with people who are under 35 and not on inordinate amounts of pot (rah rah co-op people).
In unrelated news, Springsteen came out with a really cool concert DVD recently.
