I can't wait for dimsum! 15 minutes...
This weekend was fun, but chilly.
Saturday we slept in, R&N came to town to take L to the park and they came by and we joined them, taking the shortcut from our place to 2nd beach through the park. L rode his bike all the way and he has no training wheels and is a perfect bike rider! Pretty impressive considering he will just be turning 4 next month. We hung out at the kids park and had a nice visit and ran into V&M and exchanged numbers again. Then we returned the same way and we went to our respective homes for dinner and to warm up again.
After dinner we picked up J&K and headed to R&N's house for games night. We played a new game called power grid and it was really fun but it was the first time for all of us so it took almost 5 hours to finish one game. It is cool though, it from the makers of Settlers.
Sunday we slept in and lazed around for most of the morning, but the sun beckoned so out we went. Instead of our usual walk we went to English Bay via Denman then walked around the south side of the seawall from English Bay around to Grandville Island. I have to say, I know that the Olympic Village is a financial quagmire but it is also quite lovely. I really love the new landscaping on that side of the water, it is a beautiful feature for our city. We grabbed some eats at GI and then took the ferry back. It was really nice. BY then I was cold though so we headed home and spent most of the rest of the night in bed.
BTW, I mentioned last week that my doctor moved to Australia. Well, I just got a letter from my dentist saying that she is moving to Indonesia to reunite with her husband because he can not get status here. I think if your wife/husband is a dentist you should be allowed to stay. This is really annoying, not to sound cruel, but all I can think is F**k now I need a new dentist too!!!
