“Found out anything yet?” Jun asked Sho, who was sitting opposite him in his room.

Aiba had been with them for almost two months, and he still hadn’t recovered his memory.
Jun had grown quite fond of Aiba, and vice versa. Usually, wherever Jun went, Aiba wasn’t far behind; he followed Jun around like a puppy, and Sho was shocked to see that Jun quite liked it that way.

“No boss, nothing. There are no witnesses, and no matter where we go, there are no leads,”

Jun kissed his teeth angrily and leant back, stretching his muscles.
“Well it definitely happened in our territory, otherwise he wouldn’t have been found in our front garden. Our are is large enough for a few things to go by unnoticed.” He pursed his lips for a moment, deep in thought.

“I need to find out who did this,” He said, frowning. He looked up sharply as Aiba knocked at the door and smiled through the gap.

“See if you can dig anything up, Sho. Anything!” He said, before dismissing him. Sho nodded once and left the room.

Aiba didn’t know that Jun was searching for his attackers, and Jun wasn’t going to tell him. Aiba seemed to despise violence.

“You’re up late today, puppy,” Jun noted as Aiba padded into the room.

“You didn’t wake me up, Matsumoto-san,” He pouted.

Jun rolled his eyes, “You’re old enough to get up by yourself,”

“You wake everyone else up,”

“No, they get themselves up. You aren’t part of the group, there is no reason for you to be up as early as they are,” Jun said. “How are your ribs? All healed up?”

Aiba nodded and sat down next to Jun, leaning his head on Jun’s shoulder.

“Still sleepy,” He mumbled.

“Then go back to bed,” Jun laughed.

Aiba had slowly gained more confidence, and over the course of a week, had gradually moved himself closer and closer to Jun, until he was almost sitting on top of him.
Aiba was surprised that Jun allowed him to do this, considering how much he hated the other members invading his personal space.

“Comfy here,” Aiba smiled, closing his eyes. He felt a soft slap across the back of his head and giggled, sitting up.

“Sorry, Matsumoto-san,” He smiled.

Jun was dressed in a formal kimono, rather than his usual, casual wear, and there was a suit hanging up on his wardrobe door, against the wall on the other side of the room.

“Is there.. Something going on today?” He asked, reaching out to touch Jun’s sleeve.

Jun nodded, “Meeting. That suit over there is yours. I don’t want you in the room, you aren’t to be involved, but you should wear that in case you are seen.”

Aiba nodded getting to his feet and touching the grey suit. “Is this yours?”

Jun nodded and Aiba smiled again, “Then I’ll wear it!” He unhooked the hanger and carried it towards the door.

“Aiba, before you change, can you tell Sho and Nino to come in here, please,”

Aiba smiled and nodded, before leaving the room.

Jun watched him leave, his heart beating quickly at the sight of Aiba’s smile. Once all the cuts and bruises on his face had completely healed, Aiba’s face was quite handsome, and Jun was finding it more and more difficult to spend any time without looking at him, especially since Aiba had taken a liking to cuddling up into him when they were alone.
He wasn’t sure why, but he wanted to hold him back. He just couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Sho knocked on Jun’s door, and entered, followed by Nino.

“Everything ready?” He asked them.

“Yes, boss,” Sho smiled.

“Good. Then let’s go and greet our guests.”

---

Aiba was following Ohno around, helping him serve the guest yakuza drinks and food, and once they had finished, they decided to sit outside and play some cards.

Aiba got on well with Ohno. They both disliked violence, and Ohno was a gentle, kind person, making Aiba wonder why he was with such a sarcastic and cold man.

“Ohno-san,” Aiba said, “What do you see in Ninomiya-san?”

Ohno smiled and looked up at Aiba, “What do you see in the boss?”

“What?” Aiba said, taken aback, “The boss?”

“Yes. Why do you like him?”

“I don’t like him in that way,” Aiba said, a slight blush working it’s way across his cheeks.

Ohno smiled, “yes you do. But if you don’t want to admit it yet, that’s fine. I love Kazu because he is Kazu. There’s nothing else to it, really.”

Aiba nodded, his face still flushed. He was so busy thinking about What Ohno said to him that he didn’t notice one of the other group’s members shadows appear over their game.

“You.. I recognise you,” The man said, jerking Aiba away from his thoughts.

“I’m sorry?” Aiba said, looking up at him, shading his eyes from the sun.

“Ah! You’re the guy that beat up some of my friends and stole their money!” He yelled, grabbing Aiba by the front of his suit and lifting him onto his feet, shaking him angrily.

“What? No I’m not!” Aiba cried, trying to free himself from the man’s strong grip.

“You’re mistaken, it wasn’t him, he’s been here with us for months,” Ohno cried, getting to his feet.

“You’re gonna pay for that, ya bastard!” The man snarled, pulling his fist back. Aiba flinched and closed his eyes, expecting to be hit, but the hit didn’t come. When he opened his eyes, Nino was yanking the man off of him by the back of his shirt.

“Get ya filthy hands off of him, ya fucker,” Nino said, pulling him hard enough that the man stumbled backwards.

“What are ya doin’?” The man said, righting himself and whirling around to face Nino, “This bastard att-”

“Yeah, sure he did, considering this guy can’t even lift up a bag of rice without shaking. Like he’d be able to beat up a group of yakuza,” Nino laughed.

The man snarled and swung his fist towards his face. Ohno squealed and clung onto Aiba’s arm as Nino easily dodged the punch, slamming his own fist into the mans stomach, watching him double over in pain and fall to the floor.

He leant over, leaning into the mans face, “My boss is going to hear of your rudeness,” He hissed, “Attacking our stray pup in our own house.. You’ve got some balls, haven‘t ya?”

He picked the gasping man up and winked at Aiba, before blowing a kiss at Ohno and dragging the man back towards the meeting room.

Once the meeting was over, the man’s boss apologised on his behalf, and promised to punish the man later.

Aiba was still playing cards with Ohno in the garden when Sho called him inside.

“The boss wants to see you,” He said, patting him on the shoulder, “I think he’s worried about earlier. It’s a good job I sent Nino out to keep an eye on things, huh?”

Aiba nodded and smiled, “He got there just in time, but I don’t think he likes me very much,”

Sho laughed and led him through the house, “Don’t be silly. If he didn’t like you, you’d know about it. Ohno said he winked at you?”

“Well.. Yeah… after calling me a stray pup…”

“Yeah, but he said our stray pup, didn’t he? And he winked at you. It means he likes you, Aiba.” He slapped him gently on the shoulder as they reached Jun’s private room and walked off, chuckling to himself.

Aiba knocked gently on the door before going in, and as soon as the door was shut, he was thrown into the wall, Jun’s hands all over him.

“Are you hurt? The bastard didn’t hurt you, did he? How’re your ribs? Did he get them? Your face isn’t hurt, but did he hit you at all? Did he even touch you?” Jun said, checking over Aiba in a frenzy.

“Ma.. Matsumoto-san!” Aiba said, blushing bright red as Jun’s hands ran up and down his chest, checking for injuries.

“Huh?” Jun said, pulling away from him, “Oh… Oh, sorry.. I just.. I was worried, that’s all. Sorry.” He smiled sheepishly and flushed very slightly before taking a seat on the floor next to the table.

Aiba followed him silently, sitting down near him with a small smile on his face.

“Matsumoto-san was worried about me.” He said happily.

“Of course I was, puppy,” Jun smiled at him, a faint blush still present on his face, “And you can call me Jun when we are alone,” He added, almost as an after thought.

“Jun-san?” Aiba smiled.

“Uh.. Don’t use -san, too formal,” Jun said, blushing a little bit more.

“Jun… chan?” Aiba said, smiling even more as Jun’s blush deepened.

“No one has ever called me that before,” He said, clearing his throat and looking away, trying to hide his burning cheeks.

“Don’t you like it?” Aiba said, trying to get a look at his face.

“You can call me whatever you like, puppy,” Jun said with a sigh, desperately trying to cover his blushing cheeks.
