If this were written for the author's benefit I would have mailed it to her, any flamers are acting entirely on their own initiative.
Title:
The Girl from the StarsAuthor: Brown Eyez (Why does the author have to spell this with a "z?" It looks like something a kid would come up with in a poor attempt to look special. Oh, right. Nevermind.)
Summary: "Kellie came to Middle Earth eight years ago, ending up in Rivendell. Many wondered about her but soon forgot when the fellowship went on their journey. But eight years later her fate is questioned and questions will be answered. (Mary Sue)"
Name: Kellie
Species: human
Age: 17
Hair: "fire looking hair"
Special Possessions: 'There and Back Again' That actually made me smile.
Clothing: "Her blue dress swayed in the wind as she ran."
Backstory: She fell from the stars into Elrond's backyard when she was eight or nine. Elrond, as the obligatory caretaker of half of the Mary Sues that exist, takes over her care.
Connections to Canon: Elrond cared for her, and Arwen is her friend. Judging by her other Lord of the Rings Sue, she will probably be paired with Legolas in the end.
The Plot: Not much happens in the first chapter. The chapter establishes that almost everyone knows how to speak English, and Kellie does not need a lover and wants to die lonely. (This, of course, means that she will get one before the story ends.)
Sample: Maybe they know English now because of all of the previous Sues falling into Middle Earth.
The story was told in Rivendell, a young girl, with fire looking hair, lived. She stayed with Elrond and his daughter Arwen. She came to them when she was eight or nine. There had been a terrible storm that night, and the next day the girl was found. They knew right away she was different. No one had red hair; she had different clothes on when they found her. But the thing that stood out the most was her language. She talked in English, many knew this language, but she spoke with an accent and her words where not proper but slang.
The only thing anyone could think of was that this girl fell from the stars. They knew she wasn’t from Middle Earth. But soon everyone forgot about the girl, and she grew up with them, but still acting and talking like she was not from around there. But when the girl, who name was Kellie, turned seventeen questions started to be asked.
The young girl, with fire red hair, ran down the long hallways, were Elrond awaited for her arrival. Her blue dress swayed in the wind as she ran. She finally came to the end of the hallway where Elrond stood.
“Quel andune Kellie,” (good afternoon Kellie) Elrond said greeting her as she ran up to him. Kellie grew up learning Elvish, but preferred to talk in English. “Sut naa lle sina re?” (How are you today?)
“Tereva,”(fine) she replied, “you wish to see me,” she asked, talking in her language.
“Yes Kellie, you heard of the Fellowship, am I right,” he asked, as they started wondering down the long hallway, many servants rushed by, getting ready for the evening meal.
“Yes I have,” she replied staring off into the sky, watching the clouds above. She caught her self wondering, looking at the sky a lot.
“Well, they are coming here, all eight of them. For a festival, that will last a month.” Elrond explained.
“So what does that have to do with me?” she asked, they both stepped outside, the warm sun hitting them both.
“You never met them before, you where not here when they went out on the journey. I want you to be nice to them.” He explained, “they heard of you, the girl who fell from the stars, they will ask questions,” he paused and looked down at the girl, who looked back at him. “I know how you can get, when people ask too many questions.”
“I will be fine Elrond, can I please go now,” she asked.
“Yes, they will be here before the next sunrise,” and with that Elrond left, leaving Kellie by herself. She preferred to be alone, then with a lot of people.
She found herself wondering into the forest, the place she loved the most. The place where she was found eight years ago. She did not remember a lot of that day, just that it had rained, and she awoke in a room, filled with people she never seen before. But soon all was forgotten, when the stories of the Fellowship where being told.
