FOUND: Thranduil and Thorin Post-Battle of Five Armies
Hi all! I'm looking for a specific fic.
In this story, Thorin and one or both of his nephews survive the Battle of Five Armies, but his nephews are severely wounded. Thorin begs Thranduil to heal them. Thranduil says he will, but only if Thorin leaves Erebor immediately and not let anyone know that he is alive.
Thorin agrees to this and sets off. He wanders around a bit, and people start recognizing him so he has to keep moving. I distinctly remember that he stops in Rohan for a while. At some point his friends catch up to him. I think at the end Thranduil puts a stop to it and tells Thorin he can come home.
Basically, it's AmandaK's The Long Road Home except with Thorin as the wandering character instead of Boromir.
I'm afraid that this story is on HASA, but I can't find it there. Does anyone know where it is?
