I may be quite some time behind on the fact that Geocities are closing down, because I just discovered it uh.. now and realized how much will be lost there in terms of fics, and then I sort of panicked. Therefor I have embarked on a late but hopefully not impossible mission to track down stories that will disappear into dead cyberspace a couple of

I just realise how little time I have and how many places to search! There isn´t some kind of fandom-cooperation - like people saving stuff from one place each at the time to be able to share between them later on? I mean, just to make it in time?

I've been rescueing old Yahoo groups too. Least with the groups I can go back and move stuff when there's more time.

things like cuddleslash, some of the authors there are either gone from fandom or died, and the only place to find them is sitting in those groups.
