First full week of schoolness

So the first week is done. Kind of amazed at how fast it went and also at the fact that it's barely week 1. It's been an interesting week and a half or so since I've been back. Not really sure where my head is. I kind of feel out of it a lot and thinking way too much. It's been fun though. I miss two of my roomies who went abroad, and while I don't know one of the new ones all that well, I am enjoying hanging out with the other one a lot (these two both came back from abroad). We'll be in the kitchen and a five minute conversation between reading turns into When did it become midnight? So that's been fun, haha. I need to get out of my head though.

My classes thus far have been good, look to be a lot of work as usual, but less work than last semester thank god (or so it seems *crosses fingers*). I'm TRYING to get more involved on campus, but part of me just really doesn't care. It's like how did I do so much in high school and then get to college and not give a shit? So I went to Farming Meeting, Outing Club Meeting, SOC Planning Weekend Meeting this week and am looking into some other stuff, plus planning for WesChefs since Rachel and I took over for Julie (who's going to Australia). I'm taking Theory 2: Anthropology and the Person, Philosophy of Science, Prehistory of North America, Quaternary Environments and Ebony Singers this semester. The first two are required for my majors or I so would not be taking them, haha. I'm most excited about prehistory of north america, since I love this professor (who is also my anthro advisor) and of course the material. Should have been an arch major, oh well.

I still don't know what I'm planning on doing with all this "knowledge" that I forget by the end of the semester, haha, but I have to start planning for my senior project oy. I have to do an extended paper, a senior essay or a thesis. *is scared* But yeah, I'm avoiding catching up the readings I didn't do this week by posting =)
