Yesterday was a day of minds being blown and socks being knocked off!
FIRST! STAR TREK!
Wow. THE BEST MOVIE OF 2009. Hands down. I dare the next few to do better! I went into this with no real knowledge of Star Trek except the common pop culture references.
This film is a prequel to the series, but is also it's own start to another series. The timeline in this film was altered sending the characters and crew into a completely different universe then where they go in the original series.
We meet young Spock and Kirk, learn about their parents and their lives before joining star fleet. We meet the rest of what becomes of crew of the Enterprise and how they all meet and get along with each other.
The plot was amazing, the alternate universe and the time travel, it was just awesome.
I don't want to give away any plot details because EVERYONE needs to see this movie, it was as Elaine said, "SUPERSPECIALAWESOME!"
Go see this movie, no ifs, ands or buts. It is amazing!
I give Star Trek a 10 on the Dork-o-Meter

FANTASTIC EPISODE!
I'm a little ticked off at all the hate the episode is getting. I'm seriously wondering if some people are watching the same show I am, cause GUH.
The beginning with the brothers being separated, the interactions with Ruby and Bobby.
Sam was SAM AGAIN! He was second-guessing himself and what he was doing, he was wondering if Dean had been right about everything.
Dean was just lost, as he has been this whole season. He never was given any answers and unlike himself way back in season 1, he didn't want to do the orders he was given without a reason. GO DEAN!
Castiel, poor conflicted Castiel. He finally grew that backbone and helped Dean, FINALLY! Now he needs to break out Anna and we can assemble the team to fight this war.
YES! RUBY'S DEMISE! BEST PART OF THE EPISODE! BOYS WORKING TOGETHER TO KILL HER! BOYS TOGETHER! BOYS TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!
Wasn't very happy with the white screen at the end. Not happy I have to wait three months to see the boys again!!!
Anyone else want Nathan Fillion to play Lucifer? I had that convo with ladymegsie at work last night, we both think he'd be perfect :P
Anyways. I'm excited for next season. The war has begun, Sam and Dean are on their own side, as they always have been. They're gonna have Angels after them and they are going to have to keep the demons at bay. *SQUEE!!*
