Hugo pulls up to Craig's house, and peers at it for a moment. He cannot seem to understand why he's so nervous. Perhaps it's because this is Craig, and he's never been on a date with Craig before. He's snogged Craig, yes, but gone on a date with him, no. He puts the car in park, and turns off the engine, still staring at the house. He grabs some flowers he had gotten for the younger man, figuring everyone likes to get flowers, it makes them feel special. Craig's a special one all right. He gets out of the car, and heads towards Craig's door, knocking lightly as he arrives at the door.
Craig is doing the last button on his shirt when he hears a knock on the door, and a quick glance to the clock tells him Hugo's five minutes early. Better than five minutes late, that's for damn sure, Craig smiles to himself and heads to the front door, smiling almost shyly at Hugo when he opens it. Craig beams at the older man, "You have perfect timing, I just did finish getting ready." Craig stands aside and holds the door open for Hugo, noticing the flowers as he walks in. Gasping softly, Craig closes the door behind Hugo and kisses him softly, smiling warmly at him, and whispers, "Those aren't for me, are they?"
Hugo beams at Craig, and kisses him softly. He offers the flowers to the younger man. "Of course they are. Unless someone else lives here that I don't know of?" He smiles at Craig, and kisses him once more, running the tips of his fingers lightly over Craig's cheek. "I've missed you..." He looks at Craig, shyly for a moment. Craig has always had the ability to make him nervous, but today he seems more nervous than usual around the younger man.
Craig beams and scrunches his nose up slightly, shaking his head at Hugo and almost giggling his response, "No, no one here but me." Craig kisses Hugo and grabs one of his hands, pulling the older man to the kitchen, "C'mon, I should put these in water before we go." Heading to a cupboard for a vase, Craig sniffs the flowers and smiles at the wonderful aroma, then cuts the ends and sticks them in the water-filled vase. Setting the flowers on his kitchen table, Craig goes back to Hugo and wraps his arms around Hugo's neck, hugging him tightly and whispering against his ear, "You're amazing, and they're gorgeous. Thank you." Kissing Hugo's cheek, Craig takes his hand again and leads them to the door, and if he were any more happy or excited about their date, the first real date Craig has been on in as long as he can remember, Craig would be skipping.
Hugo smiles at Craig, and nuzzles against his cheek lightly, before kissing the cheek. He whispers softly, "I wouldn't have gotten ugly flowers for someone like you! I wanted some that would at least halfway match up to you." He winks at Craig, and allows himself to be lead to the door. He beams at Craig, and squeezes Craig's hand very lightly. He walks somewhat closely to Craig, and pouts slightly when he has to separate himself from Craig in order to get into his car. Convincing himself that Craig will not run away, he lets go of Craig's hand reluctantly, and climbs into his car.
Craig 'awwws' at Hugo's compliment, and tries not to meet his eyes so Hugo can't see his blush. Craig is quick to pull Hugo in for a kiss before he lets Hugo's hand go to walk to his side of the car, and Craig sighs happily, unable to keep a smile from his face at how lucky he is to have Hugo. Sliding into his seat when Hugo unlocks the car, Craig tilts his head at the other man and whispers, "Are you going to tell me where we're going? I've been patient all week, you could tell me now..." Craig looks hopeful and tries to pout, though he's fairly sure that if Hugo has managed to keep it a surprise through Craig's begging and whining all week, he's not going to cave yet.
Hugo leans in and presses his lips against Craig's softly, and whispers, "But Craig..." He gives Craig a pout to match the pout coming from the younger man. "That's far from fair. If you've been patient all week, you can be patient enough until we get there." He kisses Craig once more, and puts his car into start. "Besides, it will ruin everything." He winks at Craig, and pulls away from the house. He offers Craig one of his hands, as he was truly reluctant to give up holding it to begin with.
Craig wrinkles his nose at Hugo's pout -- because if anything isn't fair its the fact that Hugo can pout so adorably. "It wouldn't ruin everything..." Craig whines, but decides to be patient, and takes the offered hand, lifting it to his lips to brush a soft kiss to Hugo's knuckles. Wrapping both his hands around the one Hugo gave him, Craig looks down to trace the pads of his fingers over the lines in Hugo's skin, just loving his warmth.
Hugo smiles, and squeezes Craig's hand lightly. "That's a good boy, Craig." He winks at Craig, teasingly. "I always knew you could be patient. I just don't know if YOU knew you could be patient..." He smiles sweetly at Craig, and keeps Craig's hand within his, knowing that if he has at least one of the other man's hands, there will be less of a chance of him getting hit by him.
Craig just laughs, shaking his head but still looking at the lines in Hugo's hand, and keeps his voice soft, "Cheeky. No wonder everyone things you're so charming." Craig is smiling still, though, and doesn't even bother paying attention to where they're headed, as he rather likes the idea of Hugo surprising him.
Hugo gasps slightly, "No one thinks I'm charming, what on earth are you talking about, Craig?" He pulls up to the restaurant he had decided on, and hopes that Craig doesn't say anything about not liking the restaurant. He finds a place to park, then peers over at Craig for a moment. He leans over, and presses his lips lightly against Craig's cheek.
Craig laughs softly and kisses Hugo's hand again, "I know, you missed the dripping sarcasm there." When Hugo parks, and kisses his cheek, Craig turns his head just in time to catch Hugo's lips, and smiles at the older man. He whispers softly as he glances at the building, "This looks nice..." Gently squeezing Hugo's hand before letting it go, Craig gets out of the car and waits to walk up with Hugo.
Hugo gets out of his car, and heads towards Craig. He smiles sweetly at the younger man, before peering hopefully at him. "I do hope you like it..." He pouts slightly at the man beside him. "I would be very sad if you didn't. Unless it ended up not being very good." He wrinkles his nose at the building for a moment, before smiling cutely at Craig. He brushes his fingers over Craig's briefly.
Craig takes Hugo's hand again and beams at him, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "I love it, I'm sure I will, you picked it out." Craig winks and leads Hugo up to the doors.
Hugo wrinkles his nose at Craig, then smiles at him. He kisses Craig's cheek quickly, then enters the restaurant. He smiles sweetly at the hostess, who leads them to a table. He sits, before peering over at Craig, and smiles almost shyly at him.
Craig follows Hugo into the restaurant and to their table, keeping his mouth shut until they're alone. Idly fingering the corner of his menu, Craig glances around the place and looks to Hugo, "This place is really nice...how'd you find it? Have you been to Zid before, or did one of the locals point it out to you?"
Hugo tilts his head slightly. "I've never been here before. To Zid, yes, but never here. I found someone who told me all about it." He smiles at at Craig, before glancing down at his still closed menu. "So you can yell at them if you decide you hate it." He nods seriously, and grins teasingly at Craig.
Craig laughs, and reaches across the table to gently, quickly, squeeze Hugo's hand, then focuses his attention on his menu, not really sure if Hugo is okay with the public affection. "I'm sure I'll like it, if you decided it was good enough to come to, then I'll like it," Craig smiles at the older man, and asks softly, "Do you like it here? New Zealand, I mean. You're not too far from home, but you must miss it."
Hugo reaches over, and brushes his fingers lightly over Craig's, and squeezes his hand. The younger man just didn't give him enough contact. "I do like it here. And I can visit home, if I start missing it too much. I could steal you from your home, and take you with me too. No one will notice..." He winks at Craig, and grins.
Craig smiles at Hugo's squeeze and fights the blush threatening to start on his cheeks. He arches an eyebrow at Hugo's last comment and tries to look put-out, even though he can't keep the corner of his lips from turning up, "No one would notice if I left? Are you trying to insinuate that I don't have friends?"
Hugo gasps, "No, of course not. You have plenty of friends, I'm sure. I can't believe you think I would say such a thing Craig!" He looks shocked, and pouts slightly. "I'm the one with no friends." He shakes his head slightly. "It's sad, really.
Craig snorts and flips the page of his menu, "Oh please, like I'm really going to believe you don't have friends." He eyes Hugo, then smiles, "Someone told you about this place, after all. ...Though, I have read somewhere that becoming a parent decreases your friend count."
Hugo eyes Craig. "Maybe that's why I have no friends. Children are evil... cause a lack of friends." He shakes his head. "...the person who told me about this place is a friend by default, then, if I can't have friends because of children" Nodding seriously.
"Children aren't evil, even ones raised by you can't be too horrible." Craig smiles at the waitress when she comes to take their order, and folds his hands on the table once both their menus are gone, "Speaking of your children, you have two, right? A boy and a girl, I think I heard."
Hugo smiles for a moment, "They're not too bad. And yes, I have two of them. The youngest one thinks she can get away with almost anything, but that's not my fault, I promise." He shakes his head slightly, before peering at Craig.
Craig snickers and winks at Hugo, "So you've spoiled them, I'll know to keep an eye out for that I ever meet them." When their food and wine arrives Craig thanks the waitress and stretches his legs out under their small table, brushing his ankle against one of Hugo's calves with an innocent smile.
Hugo gasps slightly, "You weren't listening! I told you it wasn't my fault! I didn't spoil either one of them. Much." He sulks for a moment, before smiling sweetly up at the waitress. He then glances up at Craig, giving him a very innocent smile, and takes a sip of his wine.
Craig matches the innocent smile still and keeps his eyes on Hugo as he takes a sip of his wine. He sets the glass down and lowers his voice, leaning in slightly, "I was listening, but that doesn't mean I believe you." Craig winks, and picks up a piece of his chicken with his fork, then holds it up for Hugo, "Here, you have to try this, its amazing."
Hugo keeps his eyes on Craig's, and leans in slightly. He reaches a hand up, and brushes his fingers over Craig's, before taking a bite of the chicken Craig had offered him. He smiles very innocently at Craig, "You're quite right, it is." He leans back in his chair, and takes a small sip of his wine.
Craig licks his lips unconsciously while watching Hugo take the food from his fork, and leaves his lips parted just slightly, as his breathing suddenly picked up a little. Smirking, Craig sets his fork down and tries to casually take a very large drink of his wine to calm his nerves, keeping his voice low, "I'm always right, you should know this by now."
Hugo arches an eyebrow at Craig, "Always right? How could I have forgotten that, then?" He takes another sip of his wine, a larger sip this time, before taking a bite of his own food.
Craig busies himself with his plate for a few moments, trying to fight off the butterflies that he always gets in his stomach around Hugo before looking back up. He agrees to another glass of wine when the waitress comes back, and watches Hugo over the rim of his glass before speaking again, his voice soft with a hint of shyness, "I'm glad you asked me out tonight. I've missed you."
Hugo smiles at the waitress when she reappears, and agrees to another glass of wine as well. He looks over at Craig, and smiles shyly at him. "I missed you as well, Craig. I always do, when I can't be near you." He brushes his fingers over Craig's hand, very lightly, before taking the younger man's hand in his own, and squeezing it lightly.
Finishing with his meal, Craig lets his plate be cleared and folds both his hands over the one Hugo gave him, gently rubbing his fingers over the back of Hugo's hand. He blushes at the other man's words and brings Hugo's hand up a bit, leaning down to softly kiss his knuckles. Craig smiles at Hugo and only lets go with one hand long enough to take a sip of his wine, "I always miss you too. Its a shame Peter has you on set so often when you're not always shooting, I don't want to get yelled at for following you around but I wonder sometimes if he's not evilly plotting to keep us apart," Craig smiles at Hugo, so the other man knows he's kidding.
Hugo takes a long sip of his wine, considering Craig's statement. "Yes. It's a conspiracy against the two of us, it must be... but it was never said you couldn't follow me around. It would be most welcome, on my part anyway." He smiles warmly at Craig, before taking one more sip of his wine. "Everyone else might get a little annoyed by it... but that doesn't really matter, does it?"
Craig laughs softly and shakes his head. "Oh, I'm sure you'd welcome it, but I'm hardly going to follow you around like some sort of little lap-kitten, Hugo," Craig teases, and smiles almost arrogantly, taking another sip of his wine.
Hugo sighs, and pouts. "But I've always wanted a kitten named Craig. Ever since I was a child.... and now you're telling me no!" He snickers softly, and grins at Craig. "I'd hardly expect you to follow me around everywhere. But you were the one who mentioned following me around anyway...." He pouts once more, and looks cutely at Craig. He peers down at his nearly empty-glass of wine, before finishing it off.
Craig snickers, and lifts his own wineglass to his lips, whispering to Hugo before finishing it off, "Since you were a child? Well when you put it like that...but only if you ask nicely." Craig sets the glass down and smiles innocently, leaning forward so he can lower his voice, both in volume and tone, licking his lips before speaking, "Do you think you can make me purr, Hugo?"
Arching an eyebrow, Hugo smiles innocently at Craig. "It's quite possible, Craig. You'll never know until I try, though." He shakes his head, and keeps his eyes trained on Craig's eyes. Almost afraid that if he doesn't, his eyes may attempt to wander to certain parts of Craig's face that makes him think.... certain things.
Craig takes a deep breath to keep himself from smiling, or worse -- turning bright red, and tilts his head slightly whispering, "Perhaps you should try, then...I'd hate to try to be your kitten if I couldn't properly...fill the position."
Hugo smiles slightly at Craig, and whispers softly, "I shall, whenever you wish for me to." Hugo glances up at the waitress, who just walked up, and gives her a smile. He pulls a credit card out of his wallet, as he doubts he has enough cash on him, and hands her the card for the bill she's holding. He gives her a sweet smile before she walks off, and focuses his attention on Craig once more.
Craig smiles politely at the waitress, but is happy when she's gone, and glances back to Hugo, "You'll have to let me take you out soon." When she comes back with the receipt, Craig waits for Hugo to sign it and gets up, holding a hand out for Hugo to take, wanting the contact. Smiling innocently, Craig tilts his head and whispers against Hugo's ear as they leave, "Take me home?"
Hugo tilts his head slightly at Craig, "Maybe I will. Or maybe I will take you out again. Either way..." He smiles at Craig, and takes his hand. "Of course. I shall take you home." He leads Craig towards his car, and presses his lips against Craig's, before unlocking the car's doors.
Craig wrinkles his nose and shakes his head, "No, next time is my turn. And I can show you other parts of New Zealand." Like my bedroom, Craig things, but quickly puts that thought out of his mind. Once they're outside Craig wraps his arms around Hugo's waist, leaning against Hugo's car and keeping the older man in front of him after he unlocks the doors. Craig smiles innocently and leans in to kiss Hugo again, convincing himself that the parking lot is much more appropriate for snogging than the restaurant.
Hugo kisses Craig, at first just planning to return the younger man's kiss, then allowing that one kiss to turn into several longer kisses. He peers down at Craig for a moment, after bringing himself to pull away from the kissing, and whispers softly, "I thought I was supposed to be taking you home, Craig. But if you'd rather be doing this.... that's fine with me as well..." And he presses his lips against Craig's once more, leaving them there for a brief moment.
Craig laughs and shakes his head, reaching up to run his fingers through Hugo's hair, "Mmm, you can take me home soon." He smiles and presses his lips against Hugo's again, kissing him passionately but softly, not wanting to heat things up between them too much.
Hugo wrinkles his nose at Craig for a moment, before kissing the younger man, softly. There's no need to hurry to take him home... especially since kissing Craig seems like a wonderful idea. He brushes his fingers over Craig's cheek, pressing his lips against the younger man's once more.
Catching the wrinkled nose, Craig slides his hands down to Hugo's waist and tickles lightly, pulling back to smile almost evilly at the older man, "If you didn't want me to kiss you, you could have said so!" Craig sticks his bottom lip out in a mock-pout, and runs his hands up Hugo's back, holding him close.
Hugo gasps slightly at the tickling, and pouts slightly, "I'm not ticklish..." Sulking for a moment, he leans in and presses his lips against Craig's quickly. "Fine! But for now, there's no problem with my wanting to be kissed."
Craig rolls his eyes, "Not ticklish, right. I'll remember that one." Smiling still, Craig leans in to kiss Hugo again and nips at his lower lip as he pulls away, "Lets go home?"
Hugo snickers softly, "Good.... as long as you agree with me." He kisses Craig one last time, and waits patiently for the younger man to get into the car before getting in himself. He starts the car, and heads towards Craig's home, before wrinkling his nose again. He offers Craig one of his hands, and smiles at him for a moment.
Craig sticks his tongue out at Hugo and gets into the car, taking Hugo's hand when he offers it. Again Craig catches the wrinkled nose, and has to stop himself from snickering at it, and he'd ask what Hugo is thinking if he didn't hate having to answer that question himself. When they pull up to his house, Craig leans over to kiss Hugo's cheek, and smiles warmly -- hopefully -- at him, "Stay with me tonight?"
Hugo tilts his head, appearing to be considering the question. He smiles at Craig, and leans over to kiss him softly, and keeps it quite innocent. "Of course, Craig." He brushes his lips lightly along Craig's once more, before smiling sweetly at the younger man. He proceeds to turn off the car, climb out of the lovely rental car of his, and wait patiently for Craig.
Craig almost pouts at Hugo for his "considering" look, as though he really thought Hugo would say no, and follows the older man to the front door, stepping in front of him to unlock it. Craig holds the door open for Hugo and locks it behind him, promptly wrapping his arms around Hugo's waist and hug/holding him tightly, whispering against Hugo's neck, "Thank you."
Hugo wraps his arms around Craig, holding the younger man close to him. He runs his hands along Craig's back, lightly, and kisses his cheek. He beams at Craig for a moment, before kissing him very softly.
Nuzzling against Hugo, Craig kisses the man's cheek and slips out of his arms, taking one of Hugo's hands and pulling him toward Craig's bedroom, "Did you have plans for the rest of tonight?" Stopping in front of his bedroom door, Craig turns to smile at Hugo, "Or should we just lay in bed watching tv all night?"
Hugo peers at Craig, and smiles at him. "My plans for the rest of the night.... are completely up to you, Craig." He kisses Craig's cheek, and smiles sweetly at the younger man,
Craig beams, "Good, I like it when you leave things up to me." He leans up to kiss Hugo, and pulls him into the bedroom, letting go of Hugo's hand to pull off all his clothing but his boxers, then climbs under the covers, waiting patiently for Hugo.
After pulling off his clothes, minus the boxers, Hugo climbs into the bed beside Craig. He quickly kisses the other man, before giving him an innocent look, and wrapping his arm around him. "You smell good, Craig."
Craig fights back a blush, and cuddles into Hugo's arms, wrapping his own around the older man. Dramatically sniffing Hugo's chest, Craig smiles, "You smell pretty okay yourself."
Hugo beams at Craig, and scoots closer to him. "Pretty okay? I tell you that you smell good, and you tell me I smell 'pretty okay'? I see how it is..." He kisses Craig's cheek quickly, then attempts to pout at the younger man,
"Fine, you smell good." Craig kisses Hugo again and cuddles against him, forgetting about the tv and just laying comfortably in Hugo's arms.
