Isn't she beautiful? Or at least kinda scary? LOL
I asked Togsos (the wonderful artist and Cousin who rendered this lovely avatar) to put her in a closet because, as anyone who has watched MfU knows, Illya winds up in closets rather frequently. I figured that if I waited in a closet, it would only be a matter of time before he popped in.

I've finally recovered fully from my Adventure to Gatecon '10. And an Adventure it was, in the best Bilbo Baggins definition of the word 'nasty, uncomfortable things... make you late for dinner'. That would be the airline experiences--not the road trip with Grrl or the convention itself; the drive was spectacular, and the con a massive amount of fun and frolic with 'Beth and 'Grrl, intimate time with adorable celebrities and friends, and a simply lovely time spent with dear, dear friends!
When I fly again, whether or not I have lost any weight, I will ALWAYS make sure I buy two seats. Those evil torture devices that they call 'seats' on those flights are uncomfortable for normal sized humans. For me--the Fluffiest One Of Them All--it was like being crucified by the ass. I think I would have been more comfortable if they had nailed me by my hands and feet to the wing of the plane for the entire flight! Next time TWO seats, no matter what. Still cheaper than First class, too!
Also, I'll make sure that I don't miss another flight. No barbs at you, Grrl... we just cut it too fine in our planning. The red-eye flights wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't been coming down with my sore throat, which prevented my ears from popping when they needed to, ouch.
I got back home safe, 12 hours later than I had planned, and exhausted. Two days to recover from the exhaustion, six to shake the sore throat, and now I'm already planning my next trip.
I guess I'll never learn. It's just too much DAMN FUN!
Glad to be home for the now, tho... and among Friends in LJ-land! (((FList)))
